Because it's a Daewoo. When Daewoo collapsed, parts became harder to find. They're available, yes, but I personally don't know where. You could probably ask the LTO or police where they get parts for theirs.
Besides that, the design is based on old Opel technology, and some of those cars they copied weren't exactly the most reliable ever built (Espero anyone...), so the cars developed quite a number of problems... thus, even though Mazda's dealerships also collapsed in the 90's, not even their prices are as low as Daewoos... because Mazdas are at least of average reliability, and are easier to maintain than Daewoos.
I'd say never EVER EVER buy an old Daewoo... pero kawawa naman ang mga may-ari na nagbebenta... :hysterical: ...my Dad has one on blocks by his house... :hihihi: ...they're trying to restore it now.
Most people have given up trying to find parts for their Daewoos, or mechanics who know how to maintain them, so most are selling them "as is" as scrap or for parts. Sad, really...![]()
