Halos sabay sabay lang naman ang mga CRDi's na 'yan +/- a few years. Iba-iba lang talaga ang tawag ng mga companies (marketing terms). Mitsubishi Di-D and Toyota's D4D as well as those from other companies have the same concept. Directly inject the fuel (no prechamber) into the cylinders at an insanely high pressure. That's it. Iba iba lang sa minor details but that is the basic concept.
The Mitsubishi 4m40 3.2Di-D is one of the most powerful engines in its class. It pumps out something like 177 bhp. The 2.5 CRDi of Hyundai makes a respectable 145 bhp (from 99 bhp in non-CRDi form).
