March 28th, 2015 08:21 AM #1Mga tsikoteers, hingi lang ng advice on what would be the better car to buy with the given priorities. Choices are 1.3e a/t yaris and the city 1.5 cvt:
1. Fuel economy for city driving and occasional out of town trips. ( 50% of the time 2 lang sakay, 30 % ako lang sakay and 20% mga 4-5 pax ) ( manila traffic )
2. Maintenace cost
Yan lang dalawa criteria ko kasi hindi naman ako naglalagay ng valuables sa loob ng sasakyan at iiwan ko sya dun habang nakapark so a hatch is ok. Design, ok sila pareho.

March 28th, 2015 01:40 PM #4I vote for the Yaris. Mas maporma sya for me, and not that common around Metro Manila. Plus, same parts as the Vios so no problem if you need repairs in the future. Bonus na lang na mas mura pa

March 29th, 2015 12:40 AM #5actually maganda talaga yung yaris. maganda rin yung city pero masyadong executive looking na sya. sat on both earlier sa dealers, space inside is almost the same. mas may feeling of luxury lang yung city.

Yaris for me... Honda casa are strict with their pms. They would force you to have it on the indicated km or every 6months. Each maitenance would cost around min of 4k max of 15k.
For toyota, you could have it on km basis without voiding the warranty...

I'll take the yaris on this comparison. Coz I really like how it looks. Regarding PMS cost, I still find Toyota more expensive. For comparison my CRV which is a 2.0 liter, only cost me 4.9k for the first 6-month PMS, while my Altis which was a 1.6 Liter cost me 6.5k for the first 5000kms. Both fully synthetic oil ginamit. Yung every 5,000KMS na yun only will take you 4 to 5 months if you use your car daily. So in effect napapagastos pa ako sa Toyota ng sobra sobra.
Yes, i do think so. Since it's based on the 4th-gen delica/space gear, which in turn shares some of...
