    Hi guys! newbie here

Honda Civic 2.0S Brilliant Pearl White or Hyundai Tucson GLS?

decided na talaga kami to go for the civic until nakita ko 2010 tucson...

    Mom ko gagamit...

What are the pros and cons?

Maganda din kasi yung reviews ng tucson.

kung mom mo lang gagamit, tucson na lang. bigger, better riding comfort. but if your mom likes paddle shifters, and modern driving plus that the civic gives... then yun na lang.

what do you mean by "modern driving" sir?

Another reason why hindi ako makapag decide is because sa paddle shifter ng civic. though hindi pa ko nakakagamit.

Any bad reviews po ba sa tucson? I assume mag improve na yung resale value nya?

If mom mo gagamit. Better of with the Hyundai Tucson, since mom nga, madami usually baggages ang moms. Groceries etcetera etcetera.

like the digital speedometer, powerful engine, etc etc. ok yung civic. but you say your mom is the one thats going to use the car, the tucson na lang. sa tingin ko mas magugustuhan niya yun.

for the first time di ko kakampihan ang Tucson

Tucson for me. The SUV body for that price is worth it.

i will choose a compact SUV over a compact sedan. Tucson for me!

    why?
    - higher ground clearance
    - roomy cabin
    - large luggage area
    - comfortable ride
    - very stylish design (***y Utility Vehicle)

get the tucson. mas maluwag ang tucson(headroom and legroom)

engine specs: tucson 166ps*6200rpm vs. civic 155ps*6000rpm
    transmission: tucson 6A/T vs. civic 5 A/T

engine and transmission palang panalo na ang tucson

    Tucson.

You never know when your mom will need the additional cargo space.

and that theta engine is a winner

Future Big 3 would be Toyota, Hyundai & Honda.
Civic would be enough for your mom IMO

6 speed, lower RPM, less gear ratio = good FC.

I'm actually so impressed with the Tucson GLS I regret that we got a 2.0V Altis. It's just the best value car out there right now, beating the Montero Sport for me

DOHC + CVVT. also uses a timing chain kaya no worries.

the theta-II engine takes it one step further with direct injection.

personally I hope hyundai takes it even further with forced induction, high-compression, and common-rail direct injection for their petrols, just like the BMW N54

btw, the tucson needs that extra power, it is a heavier vehicle, after all.

If you're going for the 2.0, I'd rather the Tucson.

I'd have rather the 2.0 S-L with side curtain airbags, VSA, etc.
