well,
my reason for not embracing china cars yet,
is my personal perception of its build quality.
For now I would not buy any of these crossovers.
I've seen a lot of people driving MG ZSes. MG PH still sells the pre-facelift ZS that came out since 2016 (2018 in PH). As well as the MG5 sedan. That is a bit dated already.
I say sometimes when I saw an MG ZS on the road was "built by a state-owned chinese car company, with a British name on it."
I just want to share my opinion because of what they are doing right now.
Also, may intent then yung post na parang pinopromote lang Chinese crossover car which also triggers my post hoping to sway others not to patronize them.
Common perception din yung quality which also reflect some of the posts here. So at least maiba reason for discouraging these brands.
OK sana if not specific to Chinese cars lang yung post, then at least the posts intent is not promoting chinese cars.
Medyo OT na po ako.
are these now made in china, along with all the perceived, right or wrong, qualities therein?
when our made-in-usa (now-vintage) multitester finally conked out after over a decade of (ab)use, we got a then-made-in-japan sanwa.
when the interest waned, so did the instrument. (i am still wondering, which among my brothers, squirreled it away? heh heh.)
i now use the cheap small china-made multitester that i got from shoomart for less than five hundring bucks, for my ordinary needs. bulb... battery... shorts... opens...
obviously, ibang crossover ang pinag-uusapan...
heh heh heh.

I was afraid to buy China cars because of the reliability issue, but when Ford slapped it's name on it and sold it at a lower price than the Japs, I thought it was worth a gamble. Fortunately, I am near 3 years already and I have no major issues.
I asked this before kasi and never got an answer pa, if mahina ba talaga AC ng mga smaller displacement engine compare sa higher displacement engines.
Example: Mahina AC ng Xpander compare sa Montero during noontime.
Mahina ang AC ng Ford Territory 1st Gen compared to all our previous cars, mostly Civics. Kahit ung 10 year old Civic ko mas malamig ang buga kahit tirik ang araw. Parang hilaw ang lamig ng Territory and I did a thermometer test 9c lang sagad niya. From babad sa initan, mas mabilis din lumamig ang buga ng old car ko. Ung tipong in a few seconds ramdam mo malamig na ang buga.
Not sure ano displacement ng 10 yr old Civic, nasa 1.8 ba yan or 2.0L na?
Baka may makapag compare dito AC ng Xpander vs Territory (puro 1.5L displacement engine to).
Then set to desired temperature (16C if eto max settings ng Ford territory).
I am suspecting sa Auto climate feature yan, baka hindi maganda algorithm ng Ford auto climate feature when auto adjusting temperature settings ng AC sa ambient temp inside the car.
Also, if mahina lamig buga na parang hangin lang then malamig lang after ilang minutes, I think expected yan sa auto settings.
Sa unit ko, I set fan to high muna for 2 mins.
Reason is para mabuga lahat amoy kulob if meron man.
Pero depende na sa inyo if during ON, cold agad ang mag activate.
Nawala kasi amoy kulob ng car ko if I set fan to high muna for 2 mins everytime i turned on the unit from cold start.
Hmmm, pwede pala magsabay ang manual at auto climate? I'm not sure of this yet, I'll check sa manual. Pinacheck ko ito sa casa as part of warranty, wala naman silang binanggit na ganun, they just said everything is normal naman including refrigerant level.
Sa unit ko, may switch for auto only.
But if I manually switch fan (increase or decrease fan settings), auto is automatically switched off.
Then I can switch temp settings and fan settings manually and it will stay on that settings.
I need to press Auto button to reactivate auto settings.
Also, my car has Auto and Sync feature, since dual climate yung feature ng AC ko.
The front passenger can set his desired settings or press Sync para both passenger and driver has same settings (Auto, temp value, Fan speed).
