I get around 7-8 km/L on heavy traffic, about the same as our old 2009 Jazz 1.3L AT.

On the highway, I can do 5L per 100 km or 20 km/L if I average around 80 kmh. Averaging 100 to 120 kmh will get me around 15 km/L.

    the hatch.
pag nagutom si anak... in the expressway or in heavy traffic at malakas ang ulan, one just has to reach over the rear seat for the chips in the supplies bag.

in my opinion, the sedan will offer a softer, more comfortable ride. this will probably be more important in long drives.
but, being able to reach for the food and drinks bag at the back, is something you can't do in the sedan. think, kids.

in city drives, the shorter hatch offers easier maneuverability and park-ability.

I like the sedan precisely because I can keep the cabin "empty". I don't want stuff visible kasi so everything is in the trunk (except for umbrella). My dad keeps a bag full of goodies but it's on the trunk as well. Hehe.

But I agree that when you have kids, the jazz is more practical.

One of the many reasons why I chose the city over the jazz is somehow connected to what dr. d said -- long drives. But it's not because the city is more comfortable (magkasing-tagtag lang ang city at jazz AFAIK). Instead, it's because of the trunk. I hailed from up north and what I believe is, you will need that trunk not only for cargo, but for additional layer of protection/crumple zone. Just imagine this -- you are driving 60-100 and you have to brake hard dahil may biglang tumawid sa highway (for some reason, ginagawa ito palagi ng mga tao/aso/pusa/baka/kalabaw/kambing dun). Then yung na nasa likod mo hindi naka-react agad sa braking mo. Let's say, a fully loaded truck of rice/vegetables.

If you put gadgets in trunk, turn it all off, dont leave in sleep mode, robbers will know, na-scan nila kung may open gadget sa car, that's why they are very precise in choosing the right car.

Syempre, risk din sa kanila magbasag ng salamin tapos laman ng bag pinagbihisan lang sa gym at tuwalya

Hi ForceG, minicarph is our resident troll. Take everything he says with a grain of salt. Most of the time they're outright false, often crazy, and frequently meant to piss people off.

I think it happened in BF. Somehow they knew which cars to rob. Could have been coincidence as well.

I NEVER leave electronics in my car. If I have a laptop I always bring it with me.

the u.s. federal government is not fond of the cheapest or least cost. they believe in reasonable and fair. you get what you pay for. do not expect a cadillac when you paid for a corolla

So many choices to buy in this price range. I would not want any tiny car. Delikado sa accidents. Just get which one suits your need: sedan, mpv, pick-up.

    Choices can include:
    1. Toyota - Vios, Avanza, Altis, Hilux
    2. Nissan - Almera, Sylphy, Navarra
    3. Suzuki - Ertiga, Ciaz
    4. Honda - City, Mobilio, Civic

I would shy away muna as a first time buyer from Korean or European cars.

    oh yes...
we do get what we pay for...
    lowest bidder.. lowest quality.
what i don't understand, is why our policy makers can't seem to understand this simple logic.

and when we spell out the specific requirements, or even to a particular model, ayaw din nila! bawal daw!
but what can we-the-user do? it's the model that has proven to be reasonably cheap and still be of good, durable quality!

60:40 split po rear seats ng VX+ city so if yun lang concern nyo, pede nyo na rin makuha items sa trunk.
