July 21st, 2006 04:10 PM #23thanks for the replies...
to put things into perspective, my dad used to drive a cefiro. he sold it recently because he has gradually developed back and knee pains over the past 3 years which were aggravated by the sitting position of the cefiro.
for a replacement, he initially wanted a 3-door pajero diesel but when he found out that most -if not all- are converted, ayaw na niya.
he has a 96 pajero 4x4 but it's m/t so he usually takes a driver. but for the most part, as i've said, he likes to drive himself to work.

im sure nasisiyahan siya sa 2.8 4m40 since he used to drive a 2.5 4D56
kaso the last unit na may 4x4 is 1999 model so 4x2 na lang is erpats

If it's just for personal use, the Jimny is ok. Just slap on an aftermarket suspension to improve the ride (e.g. TJM XGS or OME's). Brand new pa so don't expect headaches for at least a few years.
Doesn't have ABS and SRS, though.

I know over the budget,
Innova 2.0 G Gas A/T - Php 1003,000
Sakto:
Ford Escape 2.3L 4x2 - Php 999,000 - 7-8Kms/Li
I prefer the Innova though.
Choice I would have made as well.
2024 Innova Zenix 2.0 V CVT (non-HEV) vs Innova...
