Civic 2.0 AT vs. Lancer Ex MX AT

Which one is better mga sir in terms of:

    -Looks
    -FC
    -Availability of parts
    -Performance

And another question, Ano ba ang color lineup ng Ex MX na AT?

Any other suggestion besides this two?

Looks. Yung Lancer MX kasi sobrang bitin sa looks. Bakit ba kasi iniba pa nila itsura ng GT-A. Parang Tucson GLS at Premium.

    - EX, pero slap an OEM spoiler. The rear will look bitin w/o it.
    - I get 8km/l on a 1.8L M/T FD -, city driving and I shift *2.5k~3k rpm. Maybe on an 2.0L A/T it would be playing around 7km/l
    - Don't know. hehehe.
    - Can't say which of the 2 since I haven't driven a 2.0L FD nor an EX

I agree, bitin ang Lancer EX kapag walang spoiler. Kung GT-A sana, yun na lang.

So ayun. Civic for me.

The problem with the Lancer EX MX/GLS/GLX is it comes with 16in wheels. Kinda "bitin" and does affect handling. Upgrading to 18in wheels solves the problem without sacrificing too much ride comfort. The 18s also help in the looks department as well.

Go with the MX... the mags and spoilers are madali ng mga add-ons in the future. the Civic, while it's nice is still at the end of its timetable; due for replacement in a yr or two. the EX model/look is relatively newer.

If you compare a Lancer EX MX to Civic 2.0, I'll go with the FD, pero kung GT-A iba usapan na yun.

May manual ba na 2.0 ng Civic? If so, that one would be perfect!

As in, ang sarap mag-drive for kilometers and kilometers, di ako napapagod (400kms in two days ang pinakamalayo, 27L ang na-consume ang sarap ihataw e. 3rd gear at 7,000rpm). hehe

weird naman yung branch na yan.

The MX was temporarily unavailable for a few months but is currently available again. Maybe the sales person you talked to was not properly informed.

BTW, the GLX is the lowest variant of the Lancer EX.

    ah. I stand corrected

Ako pa nagsabi ng differences nung MX at GLS and all he can do si to nod...

Interior goes to the Civic for me, with the exception of passenger space. I don't see the reason for a 2.0L Civic though. The 1.8S A/T will already do.

Exterior (if you plan to set-up your car), then you should go with the Lancer.

FC should just about be the same - both are 2.0L monsters that will probably gulp up lots of gas in the city especially with heavy traffic.

Availability of parts outside should be a bit easier for the Civic, as it's been out in the market for quite a while.

Service would depend on where you have the car serviced. Not sure about the quality of Mitsu casas, but the Honda casa's so far for us are decent.

    Other alternatives:
    Impreza
    Focus TDCi
    Altis

Thats the trouble with some car sales executives, they lack product knowledge. They don't know what they are selling. You go to car display in a public place such as malls. What they will first do when you approach them is to hand you a price list and not talk about their product. What a stupid way to promote a product.

Great observation! That's what our so-called automotive industry is filled with...a bunch of good-looking models who don't have any idea about cars. Ever read our media covering the auto world? They sound very much like a catalog if compared to real journalists like Clarkson and company. And ever read a local car catalog/brochure? Sounds a lot like cheesy telenovelas full of figures of speech.

Lancer EX nalang pre in EX MX form..By order naman yan eh at mayroon silang stock nyan sa planta.
