Hindi mahirap,
Mahal.
Kasi diesel.

Unlikely, I think mas mura parin maintenance ng Focus kaysa Tucson CRDi...
would anyone recommend the focus? wala!!!! hehe.... mali ata gusto ko....
Focus, Ford kasi yan eh.
Imagine 8 Liters of Fully-Synthetic oil.. Magkano yun diba.
Yeah mga 8km/L in the city...
The problem kasi sa Focus for me is the price. That's the problem of all diesel passenger cars. Sure its diesel pero you can get a lot more metal with it like the Navara as I mentioned. Some would even prefer a Lancer EX than a Focus maski gas yung Lancer...
i dont know with you guyz but i can say focus is the most unappreciated compact car around.
perhaps because of its brnad name.
if you look closer
focus have the most brutal engine compared to other compacts (lancer ex, civic, altis)
inspite of its strong engine, FC is exceptional and can even beat any subcompact cars when it comes to FC. We also have to keep in mind that Diesel is cheap in philipines compared to other countries where diesel is a lot expensive.
have the best transmission (DCT) which can only be found on high end vehicles such as EVO, STI, AUDIs etc.
I doubt if you have given the Ford Focus TDCi (hatchback) a test drive but a few minutes might change your mind on getting one.
True. It is brutal. The ride is brutal to anyone riding in it. The suspension is extremely stiff for a four door sedan. Driving over any road imperfections might leave you with with spinal damage.
Aside from that, the car is great to drive. The torquey turbo diesel engine matched with the dual clutch tranny makes it fun to drive through twisting roads. The only let-down is the ride quality. You can end up feeling tired after an hour over less than perfect roads.
Compared to that, the Mitsubishi Lancer EX rides smooth as silk with the smooth shifting CVT tranny and powerful 2.0L (155hp) engine. Spacious interior gives the passengers the legroom you might expect from cars like the Accord or Camry.
Wait for another week or 2, Mitsubishi ASX is about to be released locally. It has a gas engine though. Mitsubishi has been aggresive with the pricing of their products lately so let's wait and see.
*ghost... sir... ex actually my second choice and the fact that there is a local dealer here in baguio makes it more a logical choice...
how's the fuel consumption?
Mitsubishi Lancer EX
or
Nissan Navarra ang kunin niyo sir. you will need their engine power since taga baguio kayo.
How about the new xtrail or waiting for the mitsu asx baka kakahintay mo sa pila ng tucson biglang dumating si asx magsisi ka
![]()
i actually am hoping for the xtrail but the price for the cvt 2.5 is > 1.3M... what is the estimated price of the asx?
Suzuki Alto. Then give the change from the 1.2M to me. :hysterical:
Kidding aside,
Since you're based in baguio, it would be best if you get pick-ups since you go up/downhill everytime.
The Navara would be my bet, the ford ranger can be considered as well.
Oh yeah I forgot the Ford Ranger. May automatic din yan for that 1.2M budget...
would anyone recommend the isuzu dmax 4x2 AT? baka kasi medyo mausok eh... yun lang napansin ko sa mga isuzu na oto... kaso matipid ata ito...
i again talked to my wife and she likes the xtrail cvt... but she told me that it is still my call...
as of now my choices are trimmed down to:
xtrail cvt
focus tdci
lancer ex mx
navara
ranger
*ghost... is the focus tdci's suspension as stiff as the civic ek? that's the car with the stiffest suspension i have driven (and still drive -- sobrang tipid kasi) kasi, feel ko lahat ng lubak hehe... kaso on long drives di naman siya nakakapagod, AT rin kasi... i havent driven any focus yet but i was hoping this is the car for me, now i am having doubts, i would really love a very fuel efficient diesel car/suv kaso kung parang leaf spring naman ang ride, kawawa naman kids ko na nakasakay sa likod kung sakali...
