Wala namang problema sa 04-08 vehicles coz most of them aren't abused that much naman. just bring your TRUSTED mechanic with you to check the car & if he gives you the go signal everything should be okay.
kung 2 yrs old car ang bibilhin, id rather get the brand new.

hinde ko naman sinasabi na brand new na SUV, second hand but mas ok sana kung bayaran mo na buo. feeling ko lugi to pay for the interest para sa second hand car. but anyway, pera mo naman yan eh
suggestion ko dagdagan mo na lang pera mo then bili ka na lang ng gen 1 na CRV.. yeah a 10 yr old car pero still a good vehicle. pero makakuha ka siguro ng 250k na gen 1 CRV
kung 5 years to pay pala then mag brand new ka na lang. kahit sedan ok na yan. it's just not worth your money to pay for 5 years mga second hand cars.Last edited by shadow; May 16th, 2011 at 12:18 PM.

Unless you find a really good deal, get first a brand new, efficient sedan and go for your dream SUV when you have the budget for it (whether brand new or second hand). The interest on financing a used vehicle is higher and there are limitations to the age. With second hand also, expect to put out additional cash for repairs and servicing.

A Strada is actually somewhat practical. Maintenance costs will still be more than those of your typical small car (thanks to the common rail diesel), but fuel economy will be reasonable, and the amount of space and utility you get for your money for the base model is very, very good.
If you're considering an SUV versus a brand new subcompact, you have to bear in mind that even if a secondhand SUV costs the same as a brand new subcompact... it will still cost as much to maintain as a brand new SUV. SUV parts are fricking expensive. And this is coming from a CR-V owner. Fuel economy in a prevous generation CR-V is about half that of your typical subcompact, though the newer (3rd gen) 2.0 CR-Vs are very fuel efficient for their size.
Still not as cheap to maintain as a subcompact, but pretty good running costs for a big gasoline car.

If you're buying a second hand SUV, lalo na pag 2-4 years old, check if all the payments of the vehicle are done. Unless you're willing to take a risk, it would be much better to buy a young second hand car without payments.
If I were to suggest, a 5-6 year old car with a diesel engine, and can fit 5-7 people comfortably.

Tibay niyan at mura pa parts and maintenance. get a baldwin or fleetguard oil filter and your semi-syn oil can go 10,000kms between changing. So maganda na siya in terms of maintenance.
yan talaga maganda. Kaso niko yung gas mo ba libre din or sagot mo? How about maintenance? If sayo din kasi, lalaki gastos mo monthly in terms of budget allocation since may loan payment ka pa eh.Fasten your seatbelt! Or else... Driven To Thrill!
