Yun reliability nang chain is way better than belts po talaga.

However, the civic lxi is not listed as an interference engine hence hindi tutukod kung maputol ang belt.

I use to have a Nissan California pero I still like the looks of the civic lxi which I never had (but my sister did). For me lang, mas sporty ang dating ng lxi.

I am also looking for a 2nd hand car
hatchback for spacious and compact design.
for family purpose, maliit ang garage town house po kasi samin.
    FC low consumption
    budget 250-350k
automatic para di mahirapan sa trapik.

Mahalaga sa family car ang space. I would consider the likes of the Avanza, Innova and Crosswind.

Thank you sir Skyflakes88 and Sir jcal68 for the inputs!

actually sir, gusto ko din talaga ng Civic Lxi. problem ko lang is yung budget. compare to this roster of cars, Civic talaga ang mahal kahit 2nd hand. advantage din naman sya if you're planning to sell your Civic in the near future due to its high resale value. Ang hirap lang kumuha, yung 1996-2000 model still ranges from 200k up. 2nd choice ko na siguro yung Bigbody GLI.

Mga Sir. Newbie here. Planning to buy a car soon. Next year po siguro. Budget ko po sana mga 250-350k. I've always dreamed of owning a sports car pero tingin ko hindi kakayanin kapag inuwi ko sa province (Manila-Tuguegarao).

Eto po yung mga pinagpipilian ko pa. ELANTRA
    CIVIC fd
    ACCENT hatch
    Chevy CRUZE

Or kung advisable man po ang Genesis Coupe why not. Budget ko lang po for Genesis coupe is 700k if ever po. Kahit 2009-2010 lang po kung kaya. Hehe! Salamat po ng marami. [emoji16] btw i'm 20 y/o na [emoji5]️

Kung may budget at di masyado mahilig magkalikot, I would suggest brand new na lang kunin mo.

I recently bought a B13 ECCS sa presyong motorsiklo.

Thank you Sir 1D4LV. Sir pahabol po, advisable po bumili agad ng Sports car considering its your first car?

not a good idea buying sport car considering you will travel nearly 450km from mla to tuguegarao, road conditions are terrible in some town/city. suggest buy 2nd hand SUV or instead brand new subcompact car for peace of mind. goodluck

I'll go for a not so old 2nd hand car. There's a big significant drop with the value of the car after several years. Not unless you're driving a Land Cruiser. lol

I've acquired the following second hand cars:

    2006 - 02 Kia Carnival 44K odo at P360K, repo from a bank
    2014 - 05 Kia Sorento 78K odo at P315K, repo by a financing company
2015 - 08 Hyundai I10 30k odo at P215K direct from owner who advertised on OLX.

I kept targeting Korean cars after our good experience with the Carnival and because of their lower resale value. There are always risks when purchasing a second hand car, and immediate additional costs such as change fluids, battery, detailing. However, with the savings vs. a brand new car, you have more than enough resources to handle these plus any eventual repairs that you must factor in because they are older cars.

A quick read of the threads show brand new buyers have very high expectations on their vehicles and are greatly disappointed when they are not met. When any of our cars have problems, I source parts outside the casa and bring them to our trusted mechanic for repair. I still have great satisfaction thinking I have three decent vehicles for the price of one brand new car.

Sub-compact ka nalang. Try Ford Fiesta
