    newbee,

Wala sa sasakyan ang image na iyan. Nasa driver. I almost lost it twice in the Pajero. Nung una sumipa ang pwet (oversteer) dahil nag-over correct ako in the rain. The next was montik na siyang tumaob when I went in a corner at speed. Medyo madali din mag-lock ang brakes nila kung walang ABS dahil truck tires ang goma nila.

A minivan will drive way better than most SUV's (especially against the truck-based ones you are mentioning), it will most certainly have more space, be more economical and handle better (since its center of gravity is lower and most have suspensions similar to road-going cars).

the NEW Prado seems better than both the pajero and the trooper. it gets toyota's new Di-D engine, or a 4.0 V6 pushing 250hp -- more than the LC100's 4.7 V8.

it is also generally agreed that the LC90 is more capable on and off-road than the pajero and the trooper.

Talaga? Kala ko dati hindi gaanong maganda reviews sa off road capability ng LC90 primarily because the fuel tank is so vulnerable to taking hits and its not protected by a skidplate.

Sana may magdala ng LC90 sa Pampanga off-roading. Wohoo!

    otep,

yup consensus ng japanese and aussies na LC90 is the benchmark in the mid-size SUV class, with greater capability than the trooper off-road, as well as the gen3 pajero... (dunno about the gen2, pero preferred pa rin yata ang LC90)

mukhang nagaaral ka pa ata e...dapat sayo mga mini utes lang..dapat baka mabaliw ka sa kakahanap ng parking space!..mag escape ka na lang muna..unless didriver ka..ok lang sya magdouble para sayo..habang hinihintay ka...walang biro..baka itapon mo ang big suv mo after the novelty of owning one wears off..btw ano ba car mo ngayon?

wooow... you're seriously overweight! kasya ka naman sa mini suv no... mga 6'5" na americans kasya dyan e... kahit rav4...

but anyway, to answer your question, trooper is superior to a gen2 paj imo (4x2 a/t vs. 4x2 a/t)

pero ako mas type ko pa yung field master na may exhaust sa hood kaysa sa newer version na nasa ibang countries, are they still selling the ones with the exhaust sa hood or is it phased out or something?

gen2 pa rin yung nandito (field master)... the rest of the world has already received the gen3 for two years now...

yung "exhaust" sa hood is a hood scoop... sa mga diesel pajeros yan. yung mga gas walang hood scoop. halos lahat ng gen2 pajero dito merong hood scoop kasi diesel...
