Better option than the Starex CRDi ??

I dodn't really read the whole thread but basing on the title, the better option for me is the Hi-ace Grandia. I haven't seen the inside but it looks spacious from the outside. Gor the same price, I'd get the Hi-ace, toyota pa.

Same price? Parang hindi yata.

And the Hi Ace is not something you'd want to drive personally unless you've always had an ambition to be a Greyhound bus driver. The commuter is large, the Grandia is even larger (esp. in terms of width).

Starex's two-box design is also safer in crashes.
