For the price of a 318D, a Lexus IS350 offers better value.

1.8L engine lang daw po pwede.

Pwede kaya combination 0.8 na Alto plus 1.0 Fiesta ecoboost?

    Sylphy vote ko.

2.0L turbo diesel yung engine ng 318D, similar to the 320D but rated lower (143hp/320Nm instead of 184hp/380Nm).

I'd suggest the HR-V over the Sylphy. Wala naman palang sedan restriction.

The Sylphy is a good option for you since the car will be leased so you won't have to worry about depreciation, which is its most prominent waterloo.

Personally mas maporma pa rin ang Altis na nakarims, projectors, and ducktail, or a Mazda 3 1.5V with rims/ducktail, but if you'll keep it stock, the Sylphy is okay. Not wow, but good enough.

Again though, if you can go for the HR-V, yun nalang.

I think its a sedan restriction. Basta 1.8L and AT tranny. Anyway, i have personal Suzuki Ertiga din naman for MPV size needs.

If i can downgrade the specs into 1.6L what would be the best unit? Hehe.
Thanks sa mga feedback. Its been very helpful.

*eespup - There are a lot of discussions already on the best option for a compact below 1M. For best value, it boils down to the Corolla Altis 1.6V, Mazda3 1.5, and Sylphy 1.8V. You can also include the Civic 1.8S, Focus 1.6L Trend, Lancer 1.6 MX, Elantra 1.6L, and Kia Forte 1.6L.

It is best that you check out the various options and take them for a test drive before finally deciding on one.

errr... who's shouldering the maintenance and fuel bills?
if your employer is shouldering these, then i suppose you won't have much of a problem choosing.
but if you're the one who will fork over the maintenance and fuel monies, then get the one with the easier and cheaper.... you know..
