Is this a wise decision for a first time driver with 2 kids like me? Is it safe and fun to drive? Does it have the power on both highway (NLEX) and uphill (Baguio route)? The car po will be used more on city drive but also planning to use it on long trips (Baguio - Manila) once in a while; I'm worried po kasi na baka di kayanin ito ng Mirage.

Your expert advice will be so much appreciated

i got a wigo because it's a toyota.. for whatever real or imaginary advantages the marquee promises..
but at face value, and with the toys upgrade, it would seem the mirage is the better choice..
    have fun..

Thanks guys for all the great reviews and recommendations At first, wala talaga sa top 5 na pinagpipilian ko ang Mirage, but dahil sa tsikot site and it's members, I'm now very confident in getting the Mitsubishi Mirage GLX CVT A/T. Again thank you so much God bless po and all the best to all of us!

I dont know about you guys, but in my search for a micro car for daily drive, I ended up getting a Honda Brio 1.3 S A/T (649,000 - discounts)

Quoting the prices list on the previous posts:
    Mirage GLS 1.2G CVT - 673,000
    Mirage GLX 1.2G CVT - 573,000
    Chevy Spark 1.0 LS A/T - 598,000

Based on the above prices, I can say that the Brio S is even cheaper than the TOTL Mirage, no compromises on safety (has ABS, dual airbags), and has more power to boot (4 cyl, 1.3 engine on a 5-speed AT). AND SURPRISINGLY good fuel consumption (I register 20.8kpl on SLEX at 85kph, about 10-11kpl on city drives). You will have to get inside and see for yourself the "man maximum, machine minimum" matra that the brio was built upon. Even passenger legroom is adequate. The only gripe i have for my brio is the puny boot space. I can live without Mirage's bells and whistles (touch start, touchscreen HU, mags, foglights).

I think a lot of people prematurely judged brio as overpriced.

P.S. The TOTL Brio V though is indeed OVERPRICED as it is dangerously close to vios E
ito pa din kaya price ng g4 today? may pagbabago ba price nya or hatchback price ito ng mirage?

    New celerio cvt owner here.

halos pareho lang sila ng mirage sa fc since pareho cvt. lamang kaunti celerio. K10b engine is a proven one.

Went to subic and back fc is around 22kpl. Thats 3 adults and a baby. Nag Jasa na ako pabalik. Could have gone up to 25 if purely nlex-sctex. Kung puro nlex naman if maintain mga 80kph you can go up to 28kpl.

One advantage ng bagong celerio is the interior space given the high roof. Try a test drive and seat at the back. The legroom is awesome. Mas maluwang pa sa previous gen na mazda 3.

i'm surprised that the overall height and ground clearance of the new celerio is higher than my swift 1.4

    Magandang araw sa lahat..

I have a similar concern between 2015 Suzuki Celerio (A/T) and Hyundai Eon (M/T).. My top priority for a car is fuel efficiency. Since I also wanted for my wife to learn how to drive, hence this inquiry.

Planning to use it for daily commute from cavite to manila (round trip 88km based on google maps).

may mga nabasa aq blogs na yung celerio can deliver gas mileage 30-34 Km/L while eon on the otherhand 26-30 Km/L.
How true is this considering that Celerio has a 1.0 engine compared to Eon's 0.8?
Any additional inputs would be appreciated.. TIA!!
