The rear spoiler will set you back around 10k.

There's still that big difference in the design of the rims of the GLS and GLX though, even if they're both alloys.

    Hi, good morning. Newbie here.

Me and my wife are planning to purchase our first car. We are choosing between the All-New Suzuki Celerio CVT and the Upgraded Mitsubishi Mirage GLX CVT. Any advice will be of great help to us.

    Factors we consider:

    1.) Fuel Economy
    2.) Maintenance
    3.) Reliability

    Thank you very much.

Bagong bago lang ang celerio. Kakalaunch lang nung kailan so wala pa makasagot nyan. But if we will look at the previous gen, ok naman ang 3 factors mo. Mas matipid lang ang mirage dahil cvt sya whereas hindi naman cvt yung dati. So i assume parehas na ang tipid nila ngayon

Mas mura ang srp ng celerio. It has even 20k discount ata pag early bird. Nakalimutan ko lang hanggang kailan. But mitsubishi has a big discount usually. 50k-70k for g4 last time i ask, just to give you an idea.

The new celerio uses the same Jatco cvt that the mirage uses... and its been super reliable as far as i can tell from the mirage forums.

Yup. I also expect that. It's just that wala pa masyado feedback dahil nga bagong bago. But if im in your shoes, i don't mind being the first one. Reliable naman yan

Its an awesome grocery car for moms in the city. 60:40 split rear means lots of room.

Mas mahal pa parking kesa sa gas na maco-consumo. Hehehe

I need your help guys. I am a newbie driver and on a budget. I'm planning to get my very first car and due to the fact that with all the reviews, suggestions, and recommendations here at Tsikot, I am now looking into getting a Mitsubishi Mirage GLX CVT A/T over Toyota Wigo A/T and Ford Fiesta A/T. Is this a wise decision for a first time driver with 2 kids like me? Is it safe and fun to drive? Does it have the power on both highway (NLEX) and uphill (Baguio route)? The car po will be used more on city drive but also planning to use it on long trips (Baguio - Manila) once in a while; I'm worried po kasi na baka di kayanin ito ng Mirage.

Your expert advice will be so much appreciated

I also agree with your decision on the Mirage GLX. Di na kasi sya kasing bare nung unang release.
If you still want to consider the competition and since you have also considered the Fiesta, try test driving the Swift 1.2.
Isama mo rin buong family mo sa test drive and let their opinion count.

    Godbless with your first car!

i got a wigo because it's a toyota.. for whatever real or imaginary advantages the marquee promises..
but at face value, and with the toys upgrade, it would seem the mirage is the better choice..
    have fun..

Thanks guys for all the great reviews and recommendations At first, wala talaga sa top 5 na pinagpipilian ko ang Mirage, but dahil sa tsikot site and it's members, I'm now very confident in getting the Mitsubishi Mirage GLX CVT A/T. Again thank you so much God bless po and all the best to all of us!

Mirage can handle highway and mountain driving but it's not FUN to drive. Anyway, you already let go of FUN (if you know what I mean) when you got hitched. Life is a compromise. It's time for a different kind of fun with family.
