That's how I feel with the previous-gen City too. Feels less solid than our 20-year old Lancer itlog. When taking humps at speed, talagang thud yung maririnig mo.

I guess it's the standard for small cars, and any minicar that doesn't have this kind of ride is an exception rather than the rule.

Is this the City GE or the much older City GD (IDSI)? Our City GE has that "ka-blag" sound and jarring feel on humps and potholes if approached faster than crawling speed. You really have to slow down or feel that "ka-blag".

GE bro. Yup it sounds like the suspension's gonna break everytime you approach anything at speed. Im used to flying over humps since I have a pickup but everytime I use my mom's City I have to baby it.

    Re: Honda Brio.

Considering that it will probably use certain Honda only fluids, is it safe to say that it will be expensive to maintain?

    Re: Get my priorities straight

Actually, I already have a very short list and they are not minis (Please see the Mirage vs Yaris vs Jazz thread). This thread is for my office mate who will also be buying a car.

    BUT

If i would get a mini it will be a battle between the Mirage GLS and the lowest variant Brio (which may change once the official specs has been released.)

A Wigo is a fine choice but my situation demands that I have some sort "power reserve" since I do haul stuff often and I do go through the Carmona-Silang Road (Governor's Drive) often as well. I am not comfy with the stock power of the Wigo.

    BUT

If I would drive within the city only, then winner is the one with the better ride experience and gives me the best economy in terms of fuel.

    Re: Fiesta

Umayos na ba ang durability ng Ford? Meaning, will the Fiesta last past 10 years and still give comparative performance as against its peers of the same age?

    To all:

wow, salamat sa mga nagpost ng mga bagay bagay na hindi pumasok sa isip ko na i-consider.

If a Toyota's maintenance is 4k per PMS, and the Brio's is 1.5x more expensive at 6k, will the 2k really be a deal-breaker for you? You'll only be doing it twice a year since Honda service intervals are every 6 months anyway.

I'm not too sold on the Brio yet because I haven't driven it. I can say however that the Mirage is the best starter car in the market today.

The Fiesta has a lot of issues, mostly related to its Powershift transmission. Still worth it IMO, but it's just a riskier bet than the others.

Mitsubishi's PMS labor charges are eye-popping to say the least. My Vios' 10k (regular checkup I think) cost me 1500 in labor. Mitsubishi will charge 3500 in labor alone on the Mirage's 10k PMS based on the price list I saw in the casa.

Erratum: it might depend on the casa though because someone else posted this:

I read in FCP that Ford is extending its transmission warranty to 5 years or 150k kms. I guess it's their admission to the issues with its tranny. Both the Fiesta and new Focus use the Powershift DCT. There are some impacted by the tranny issues but not all. It was a decision I had to deal with before I got my Fiesta.

Which casa bro? Nabasa ko sa ibang forums na dumadayo pa silang Sta Rosa dahil far cheaper ang labor don even with the toll and gas factored in.

    Thanks.

I'll consider another model of Honda if ganyan din lang naman issue, kaso overall repair costs kaya would be greater with Hondas, given that the same repair is being done sa ibang brands?

Kanina I saw a Suzuki HB kaso hindi ko nakita ang model name. Ano kaya yun?

So meaning lahat sila medyo malikot, maingay, matagtag?

What's your current car? Unless you already have a compact or midsizer, you won't know what you're missing.

Compared to your L300, even the Wigo rides like a Camry. So nothing to worry about.

Hi All! I'm new here sa tsikot. I don't know how to start a thread kaya dito ako napunta.

First time buyer ako and beginner na driver.
Ang choices ko are hyundai accent 1.4 e mt, mirage g4 1.0 glx mt and kia picanto ex 1.0 mt.
Hindi sila nagkakalayo ng price kaya hirap ako mag decide.

Purpose ng car is pamasok ko araw araw. Q.c area lang. Single ako and walang ibang passenger. Gf ko lang.

Thanks in advance sa input niyo.
