I'll get the mirage for the same reason stated above.
Brio is too expensive for a mini car. Not sold on its "prestige". It is still an econo car.
My 2 cents.

^^^Me too. I really can't see the "prestige" some folks relate to Honda. It's the same as the other big Japanese manufacturers. If there is one model that has the prestige for the Honda brand, it's the Accord. The Accord has always been a part of the 10Best of Car and Driver for the longest time, much like the BMW 3-series and VW Golf.
The Brio might be a zippy drive knowing it has enough juice from its L13 engine pushing its 900kg weight. However, you can get about the same level of performance from a car with 3-cylinders, lesser weight, and better fuel efficiency for a lesser price.
My only gripe with the Mirage is the NVH abatement (or lack thereof). Kawawa pakinggan ang suspension on expansion joints. Tagtag ang dashboard sa mga rumble strips. Otherwise it's a fun zippy city car.
The Brio might be better built and feel more solid. However at that price step up ka na lang to the next size.

That's how I feel with the previous-gen City too. Feels less solid than our 20-year old Lancer itlog. When taking humps at speed, talagang thud yung maririnig mo.
I guess it's the standard for small cars, and any minicar that doesn't have this kind of ride is an exception rather than the rule.

Re: Honda Brio.
Considering that it will probably use certain Honda only fluids, is it safe to say that it will be expensive to maintain?
Re: Get my priorities straight
Actually, I already have a very short list and they are not minis (Please see the Mirage vs Yaris vs Jazz thread). This thread is for my office mate who will also be buying a car.
BUT
If i would get a mini it will be a battle between the Mirage GLS and the lowest variant Brio (which may change once the official specs has been released.)
A Wigo is a fine choice but my situation demands that I have some sort "power reserve" since I do haul stuff often and I do go through the Carmona-Silang Road (Governor's Drive) often as well. I am not comfy with the stock power of the Wigo.
BUT
If I would drive within the city only, then winner is the one with the better ride experience and gives me the best economy in terms of fuel.
Re: Fiesta
Umayos na ba ang durability ng Ford? Meaning, will the Fiesta last past 10 years and still give comparative performance as against its peers of the same age?
To all:
