The MUX and TB just look 10 years older than the Fort and Everest. The Montero is just downright ugly from C-pillar onwards.

I wouldn't buy 2012 ford ranger if that's the way I think, it just look like a humpy dumpy with an engine. If mu x and TB look 10 years older, maybe the old ranger was their great grand father. [emoji23]

Most reliable motor. Best economy. Biggest space. Saan ka pa?
Safe to say the 4JJ1 will be around for a while. Even with the recent launch of the 1.9 blue power engine in Thailand, they still kept the 3.0 on the higher range. No major issues also after around 10 years of service in our shores.

Good thing my Ranger was a 2013 then. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

But seriously, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I can never get myself to see the MUX's interior/exterior to be on the same level as the Fortuner/Everest.

Regardless of what you say, that's my aesthetic assessment and there's nothing you can do about it because there are no rights and wrongs when it comes to one's opinion on a car's looks.

    Black plastic doesn't age.

Funny observation of the old Honda Civic... which we just did for used car... which, honestly, has a terrible plasticky interior... it's still terrible and plasticky after a few years, BUT: the surfacing doesn't scuff off or lose its luster.

So the MU-X interior isn't great... it's miles better than the Alterra's.

I could see myself buying one secondhand a few years down the road.

The 3.0 is still the only engine in the class with a B10 rating. And with a B10 rating of 400,000 kilometers, Isuzu guarantees that 90% of its engines will hit 400,000 kilometers without needing internal engine repairs. ;)

Sure, it's not as gee-whiz powerful as the VM Motori 2.8 in the Trailblazer, but the new VGT variant is no longer embarrassingly slow compared to the others (still slower, but not by that much) and it still hits the right economy numbers.

Hard plastic = hard wearing plus easy to clean

The 3.0 lang pala ang b10 rated? Bummer.
