actually that's the reason why I did not push thru with my purchase of the Montero kahit may budget na ako, heard from the grapevine na meron malaking adjustment mangyayari sa price ng cars dito sa region natin. in some way not really the price but because of the fed increasing the rates. kaya never ago pay attention dyan sa excise tax issue. once the government realizes that there will be slowdown in purchasing or more specifically high end loans, mag tatax pa ba sila

that $5500 price cut, eh di at least minus P200k yun, damn pano yun mga nakipagunahan bumile ng Fortuner since 2016, tapos fully loaded pa, syempre we will follow coz Australia ang front runner sa design and testing ng Fortuner coz of the Outback

    that

    from the article
"Toyota says the Fortuner “is the turbo-diesel alternative to the similar-size petrol-only Kluger and offers an affordable choice for those who aspire to own a LandCruiser“."

hehe, I said it before buying a Fortuner is like buying a LC, tapos magprice drop pa. customer is the winner

I still think the revised vehicle excise tax will push through. DOF is to be blamed. I think the Fortuner was repriced for more market share in Australia. Your statement is worth considering though. very interesting...🤔🤔🤔

here's my observation on what's happening sa local scene ng auto loans. a year ago mas mataas ang interest rate pero mababa SRP, now naman mas lumiit interest rate pero tumaas naman base SRP. suma tutal ganun din eh lol. ganyan tayo lokohin ng collution ng banks and car dealers.

but people being smart with smartphone computers, they're seeing thru the scheme. and so hayun humihina ang sales ng cars. and car dealers know that they wont get the sales numbers next year, why because of the economic term: marginal utility.

suddenly, Fortuners no matter how popular they are, sawa na tao makita sa kalsada, kaya hinde na din binibile. napansin ko yan lately, kasi parang dumadami ata tucson and sportage sa kalsada, kasi nga sawa na tao sa MUX, Montero, Everest saka Fortuner

syempre, toyota wont admit this, kaya silently ang unahin nila i-fully loaded muna fortuner at the same srp, and this does not work, eh mag discount. dyan matatalo ng MUX ang Fortuner, kasi may 1.9L ang MUX eh, if based on displacement, may alibi sila to lower the SRP kasi 1.9L lang eh, ang Fortuner from 2.4L naging 2.8L pano mo ngaun sasabhin sa public na ibaba mo eh tumaas nga displacement, ma-perceive tuloy ng public na mahina sales ng toyota. catch 22.

Go fort if you want the t badge reliability.

Go monty if you want an agile and quick off the line ppv.

Go mux if you are after practicality with reliability.

Go tb if torque is your thing. (eve 3.2 has high torque too but tb has better power to weight ratio)

Go eve if you want to take a leap of faith..

Bash away guys... just kiddin' hehe... feel free to correct me if am wrong or if you agree with some of my opinions.
Just keep reactions fun and helpful for us present and future ppv lovers.
