If I have to buy one of these trucks, it may have to be the Everest. It looks big and nasty (though not the badass big & nasty as the Suburban). However, with their current prices, the Santa Fe 2.2L FWD seems to offer a better ride over such trucks.

Hah! I have the former Santa Fe and I now drive a company issue Ranger 3.2 wildtrak. I like the Ford interface, so futuristic and the tough suspension, oks na oks sa status ng roads

Noon panahon ni GMA, i loved driving the SF kasi bawal ang truck noon the whole day, ngaun sira-sira daan

No difference with current gen SF and previous SF, pareho suspension system

So bro.,- do I take it that, if you are buying one today,- you'd grab the Everest?

No Fortuner ang gusto ko, kasi walang sense bumili ng 2.1M TOTL Everest kung ang resale value is 500k after 5 years

I appreciate your forward-looking stance bro...

But then again, don't you buy to use it, and not to sell it later?

Anyway,- I'll highly consider your opinion on the Fortuner kapag "tinopak" akong bumili ng sasakyan....

I like the classic aura of the LR Defenders, the old School Pajeros and Land Cruisers.

If say I buy a fortuner now, it is an investment coz this current 4x4 Fortuner looks pang Safari, so there will be a value for this 20 years from now particularly for off-roaders. Iba talaga kaha nya, pang out doors. Unlike the present crop of PpVs like Mux, everest, and Montero. Hindi mukhang pang safari, mukhang soft city riders,

Kung ma-bankrupt man ako at old sabihin ko na lang sa anak ko. Anak eto lang ma-ipapamana ko sa'yo plus say a Php 150k trust fund upgrade option to make it look offroader.

    Win-win diba?

2M for such trucks is a stretch. The midtrim models are good enough for a daily-driven truck. For 2M+, there are much better vehicles to choose from. I guess the demand for them have made the manufacturers so confident of their pricing.

i agree. 2M for a harsh and bouncy ride? though among the ppv i love the looks and porma of the fortuner but i cant tolerate talaga the rough ride ng mga ppv lalo na pag ikaw ang passenger.
