Depends what you value in an SUV. I like my Everest Trend for the space, the high tech features and the ride quality. I also got the Fortuner cause of the nice resale value and reliability.

Simple lang ang kondisyon ko sa Eve to have one, if kaya kung bilhin ang 3.2 liter variant nila. Pag hindi lipat na ako sa iba.

I'm planning to purchase Montero GLS premium. Ang talagang pinagpipilian ko lang ay fortuner G or itong montero premium and I decided na montero kukunin ko. My question is, may mga magiging reason kaya para pagsisihan ko ito for example after 10 years kung bakit di fortuner ang pinili ko

hope you can enlighten me. Thanks in advance.

I don't like the Montero because it looks awful from the rear and rear 3/4 angle. Too slabsided. I'm pretty sure it won't age as well as the Fortuner, at least aesthetically.

I'm also not a fan of the Montero's soft suspension. When paired with its high ride height, it ends up with a wallowy ride with a lot of nose dive and body roll. The Fortuner has a stiffer ride but it's acceptable for a PPV and I like how it handles corners and hard braking better than the Montero.

That said, the Montero has a very good drivetrain with its 2.4L 4N15 and 8AT, definitely better than the Fortuner's. Good value for money too with Mitsubishi's big discounts.

any idea which has a better acceleration and which one consume more fuel in city driving?

I tested the montero yesterday and somehow medyo nababagalan ako compared to my gas altis. No chance to test the fortuner yesterday since its not available daw.

The Montero accelerates much faster than the Fortuner, while having similar fuel consumption.

In terms of 0-100 times, the Montero does it in 11.2 seconds, roughly the same time as an Altis 1.6 CVT. The Fortuner 2.4 does gets to 100 in about 13.5 seconds.

Don't expect too much in terms of acceleration with such big vehicles. If you want a utility vehicle with better acceleration than your current Altis, I suggest you look at the gas-powered CUVs (Forester, CRV, CX5) but they will not be as fuel efficient as your Altis or any of the PPVs.

As far as tests are concerned, the Trailblazer 2.8L is the quickest among the PPVs. If you want another quick diesel, check out the Santa Fe/Sorento or Tucson/Sportage.

di okey magluma ang crossover diesel. parang may loss of power na. siguro kelangan i-carbon cleaning or whatever

yun mga hyundai crossover diesel, wag kayo masyado padadala dyan. with the quality of diesel here, hihina hatak ng engine nyo in the long run, lalo na kung puros city driving

between my quick 2007 Santa Fe and my current bluepower, mas maganda pa arangkada ng MUX syempre kasi bago, ang Santa fe parang papalya pag finloor ko eh ng biglaan. eh kasi nga luma na

but ive noticed with the Pajero Bk consistent sya since the start, mabagal oo pero no loss of power . so malamang yan ang okey sa mga Jap PPVs

and so I dropped by Mitsubishi C5 kanina coz inutusan ako ng dad ko to pickup somethng for his car

    Tanung ako price ng Montero

    GLS Standard - 1.399M
    GLS Premium - 1.549M

I asked hanggang kelan sale, la pa daw advise sa kanila. I forgot to ask about the GT sayang hihi, mamadali na kasi ako.

Not bad na yun GLS Prem, kasi yun Mux Bluepower 3.0 LS-AT 1.599M after discounts.

Pero lamang ng 6 airbags ang Montero Premium, electronic parking brakes and also mas refined naman ang Montero kaysa MuX.

I think these 2 are now the most bang for the buck fully loaded PPV units out there.
