Thanks. I think I really need some test drive of both cars. And the off road capability of navara is a plus for me. We like to explore places especially those unpaved roads.

Most owners of navara said the ride is comfortable. We drove Montero if its slightly different from it then its fine for me

Hahaha its hard to choose.. any points for choosing you will recommend?

The Forester and XV can also handle off-road use. I've seen an XV go up Pinatubo.

Ground clearance is the same for the Subarus and the Nissan at 225mm.

The Navara rides nicely - for a pickup. But no match for the Subarus definitely.

Like I said in the other thread - follow your heart. It seems that you really like the Navara so go for it. If I was in your position I'd definitely go for the Forester but since it doesn't seem to attract you, then just go for the car that you really like.

Bakit mahina sales ng RAV4 dito sa atin? Dahil ba gusto ng pinoy ang diesel, so ppv na Lang sila?

The RAV4 4x2 Active only costs 1.26M. Space is much bigger than the similarly priced Tucson, XV, HRV, and is almost as big as the CRV.

Many people just don't know this because the RAV4 initially launched with 1.5M 4x2 and 1.9M 4x4 variants.

After research the current gen rav4 actually has good fc, even better than the current gen skyactiv cx5.

The next gen rav4 might have a 2.0T engine just like the next gen carry. Im hoping it looks good. It might be the replacement for my aging 2yr compact.

Fc is still high though compared to the other 4x2's isn't it? I think it still has the same 2.5L engine of the 4x4. We also looked at the Rav4 a couple years ago. Liked it except for the dated looking interior and ergonomics. Plus the ride quality and seats weren't that comfortable for me. Priced competitively though.

Because it also makes more power than anything in its price range at 178 hp. [emoji4]

Though despite having the most power on paper, the RAV4 doesn't seem to be very rev happy and the engine note isn't all that inspiring compared to other 2.5s I've driven.

Like with the Vios, the facelift managed to spruce up the car just enough for it to feel competitive, but just a year or two later, it's feeling really old.

There's no disguising the age of the chassis underneath... especially compared to such swell driving crossovers as the CX-5 and the new Sportage.

    On a more interesting note:

The new brands aren't quite there yet with the big boys... but I'm reminded of Hyundai's previous Tucson with the two cars I'm driving now.

Yes. They're getting closer. Don't have the dealership and service networks to challenge the Japanese giants yet, but the products are no longer kit-car wannabes. They're fully mainstream cars in everything but badge.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

The Toyota RAV4 is simply not the prettiest among the popular crossovers ...

I'd say the same for the CRV (although it has improved significantly since the first iteration of the 4th gen).

Yup, Rav4 engine is a bit gruff. Low to mid rpm is where you want to be. Most powerful 4x2 with a gas engine in its class to be sure. Just wanted to point out having a relatively thirsty engine for its class will turn off a lot of buyers who are looking at the cheapest variant. Given the limited budget, FC will be a big consideration as well for sure.
