My sister will sell (planning to buy it hehe) her Hyundai Getz 1.5 CRDI (5 years, 75k ++ kms) and will to buy a new one. She's asking me for recommendations on what to buy, so might as well ask for your opinions and recommendations.

    Here are the facts:
    1. She travels around 60kms everyday from home to work and back home. NLEX- EDSA up to East Avenue is the usual route.
    2. She's the only one using the car, and she's the only one who rides in it.
    3. Daily driven. Mondays thru Fridays, and occasional Saturday mall trips. Slim chances of going out of town as we have bigger vehicles for those trips.
    4. Budget is pegged at 800k, cash purchase or maybe 50% down and 12 months for the balance to get a better deal at some dealers or brands.
    5. Prefers manual tranny but open to A/T.
    6. No concern or issue on flooding. Our house in Bulacan is safe on that one.

    Your suggestions are welcome.

Sa ganong city driving swak na swak ang diesel. She chose well in getting the Getz CRDi. The new Accent would be a suitable upgrade. I say get the manual hatch. Since she has no qualms in driving a manual, she will appreciate the added fuel efficiency.

A lot of cars will fall into her 'wide' categories.

Smaller sub-compacts will do, better if diesel versions.

swerte mo dyan sa getz crdi..... very rare yan and nice performance.

although the mirage would be a good choice, i think the accent hatch crdi or the vios would suit her more.
