April 10th, 2015 02:45 PM #14hehehehehee .. I'm not single anymore, my current 2e 1.3 is use as a family car ... usually a up to 5 people plus luggage in the trunk, thats where the extra power of the GLI 1.6 could be put to good use .. Cannot afford an old school sportivo as of the moment .. I'm currently in a crossroad whether to sell my 2e 1.3, the thing that scares me is what if I've regret buying an EFI when problems arise, it the cost of repairing an EFI compare to a carburetor .. a carburetor is easy and cheap to maintain .. but underpowered nga lang ..

As i said previously, it's not whether the car is EFI or carburetor, it's how the previous owner maintained it. If you maintain the car properly (regular service, use the proper parts, and replacement of the filters, etc.) then hindi ka ititirik sa long drives. On trouble shooting, a Toyota Corolla 4AFE is still pretty straightforward to repair as long as you go to the proper mechanic or shop.
My 1.4L Sentra with a carb does 6-7km/L in traffic. My daily drive 1.6L Altis on the other hand will always be spot-on 9km/L++ to 10km/L in the same conditions.
