The family has 2 fords in the garage...

I dont think reliability is one of its positive attribute

My family got 2 fords... So far no reliability issues except for the rear stabilizer bushing of our 2008 focus...

Bushings are meant to be replaced. Wear and tear stuff. Easy maintenance job for mechanics. Medyo mahal lng pag sa casa.

^^^ huwag naman sana. we're all hoping this version 3.5 engine already has a better turbo than the 2012 iteration of the ranger. supposed to belate 2014 rangers don;t have that issue already.

Everybody knows the first iteration of those vehicles will have flaws. Ask me again after the 2nd facelift.

Kung fortuner kukunin mo, huwag nalang. The ride is quite bad kahit na sa updated suspension niya. Montero is more comfy sa ride department. Diesel engines are quite durable. Sometimes akala mo, sira na. No no no, only the fuel system lang Problema. Change fuel filter, clean injectors will usually remedy it. Worst case will be injection pump calibration only. These engines are designed to run up to 300,000 kms without any problem.

did you have a chance to test drive long term both the new Fort & MS to come up with such a conclusion? I am just curious

Of course, the new fort and Montero is not yet out. Paano mag long term. Kahit test drive, wala pa nga. Based on current models lang. Fortuners updated to four link suspension during their facelift last few years. Pero, di parin maganda ang ride. Naka stamby lang cya kasi last choice. We have pajeros clocked more than 200th kms. Calibrated fuel pumps, changed waterpumps, changed radiators but never open engines.

Yung 2014 and early 2015 na fort.. Hindi na din matagtag.. I find it better than the Montero sport...
