Ako nman gamit ko for work to Makati so tlagang city driving including traffic sa EDSA.

If you will buy 2nd hand car, magtira ka ng extra money for repair. For sure there would be repairs kahit sabihin nung seller na "wala na ipapagawa" dyan. Of course pra mas safe ka na ok cya, pa change oil mo na rin and tune up.Check the tires and the transmission kung manual cya.

Kung 1km lang ang layu ng review school mo and normally city driving ka you can go with lxi. But if power yung hanap mo hands down ako sa VTI.

    salamat bro,, laking tulong talaga....

Good luck hunting for that VTi!

Vti has these little conveniences that once you get used to, you'll never look back. Small details but doesn't seem so small: central locking, power mirrors, armrest that doubles as a storage for CDs or whatnots, maplight. I mean, without the maplight what am i gonna do if i need to read something quick- Use a flashlight? Buy some ricey "type r" lights accessories at handyman?

These things can be readily remedied with surpluses * HCP, but an engine swap should make no sense...

so... get what you can afford to minimize your regrets - first and main car pa naman...

good luck tol, and hope you find a keeper that'll serve you well.

anyway, concerning the FC of both... tama po hindi nagkakalayo yung dalawa. masmatipid lang ng konte ang LXi sa VTi in city driving pero when it comes to highway driving, halos same lang. mas matipid pa yung VTi ng konte...

kung budget ay 300k... go for the VTi na talaga... vtec pa.

with the filter, yun din naririning ko na mas matipid yung nakaKnN. better mixture daw kasi. cant be that sure pero one thing i can be sure of... sarap pakingan ng air filter and vtec... lalo na kung patay yung sounds

sir interesting po talaga yung KnN filter and vtec sound... kaso hindi ka na fuel efficient kung babanatan mo yung gas pedal to reach the vtec. its takes 3500 rpm just to open the vtec of the VTi

^oops. sorry if i was mistaken- i haven't seen an lxi before and i remember a discussion that mentioned it didn't have any. (just to make sure, i'm talking about the silver colored switch - central locking for opening too, hindi lang for closing...) anyway it's good if it has one.

Ricey is BADUY! So its negative It mostly refers to Asian vehicles (hence rice as its a staple food in Asia) that are over-porma to the point na baduy na or corny na...

Kung gusto mo talaga makatipid, ipaconvert mo yung car to LPG. Pero kung walang budget for LPG conversion I would just use E10 then just mind your driving habits.
