I would still choose the Explorer over the CX9 or Evoltis/Ascent. It is bigger and packs a more powerful engine than the other two. Only advantage of the CX9 is that it drives better.

The 2021 Explorer is only offered with a 2.3L 4-cylinder turbo engine but packs 304hp/420Nm. More than what you need for a midsize SUV. SRP for the 4x4 model is 2.998M while the 4x2 model is 2.698M.
