well you have nothing to lose naman by having a test drive/ride together. if anything it is more of an advantage pa nga if you think about it. hehe

Negative is the NVH and more parts than can break. Turbo, intercooler, injectors, etc. Oil is just a few liters extra per service. Filters and consumables are dirt cheap for both.

Gas is okay if you're not gonna run a 100k in the time you plan to keep it. But beware, the 2.0 is gutless when loaded.

This debate has been going on since 2005 ever since the first gen Innovas and Fortuners. By now, I've seen d4ds run 200k to 300k without much issues.
