Good evening, Tsikoters. I will be needing your help again/suggestions again. We will be buying another SUV for my father as birthday gift. We decided to buy a MUX way back 2016 with the help of tsikot. Gusto na niya daw magpalit these two are the choices. Test drove both SUV din pa din makapag decide.

    Cons (Forty): lacks features
    Pros: better interior, Reliability

Cons (Terra): interior ( medyo malapit sa mUx), rack and pinion issue, Reliability?
Pros: Ride quality (for me),discounts, safety features

PS: if we can get a big discount from nissan we might choose VL if ever we go Terra.

Any inputs from someone who have both?

What's his reason for replacing the Isuzu? I feel that's more reliable than the Fortuner or Terra.

If nag sawa lang, why not upgrade wheels and tires, or accessorize a bit. Much cheaper than money lost over resale. If he really wants an upgrade, get a Land Cruiser hehehe.

Puede rin siya mag LC Prado or LC 200 that's a big upgrade from the Fortuner

Havent seen engine mount upgrades in australia. That's the only path in reducing the vibrations...

He'll give it to my sister na sir. Lumalaki na family ng sister ko e. 2 anak. Unica hija niya yun e, ayaw pabayaan. And yun nga dati pa niya talaga gusto fortuner. 1st choice niya yun kaso that time hirap kumuha e. Kaso nagustuhan din Terra kaya ngayon nahihirapan siya.

Hindi namin afford yun sir. How I wish LC200 na lang nga [emoji23][emoji23] siguro sa 60th birthday niya. 5 yrs from now [emoji23][emoji23]

What makes your dad smile, yun na ang choice mo.

Have both Fort and Terra and each has it's pros and cons. I drive the Terra and the Fort are for family errands. I value features more at this point so I chose to drive the Terra and I never encountered any issues mentioned yet. Reliability for both are almost the same already so either is a good choice.

Get the CX5 then, much better than the two SUV's if riding comfort is a priority and ease of ingress/egress.

Just the CX5 if you are not hauling more than 5 persons or a lot of luggage most if not a lot of times...
