I have narrowed my options to these 2... bnew para less headaches..

I think seating capacity and ride quality are the similar..

San sa ok ang aircon? Sino sa dalawa ang mas reliable? Thanks

Also... how do i delete previous thread?

Given the long surviving units of both these models, I guess this is no longer a question of reliability.
I can only attest for the adventure's aircon, still works fine after 7 years, the only maintenance performed was cleaning.
Although both vehicles are matagtag, as a passenger I find it more comfortable to ride the Adventure.

No offense sir but may I ask why the Innova J Diesel is not in your shortlist? Less than 900K din sya at definitely mas comfortable pa.

Testdrive na yan sir para makadecide na ! ! !

    Aircon: mu vote for adventure
    Fuel efficiency: vote for crosswind

    Sabi nila crosswind 14km/
    Advie 12km/l
    Mixed driving.

    then get the E variant.
nothing is free, you know. there are always trade-offs.
if you test-drive the innova, you might see what your trade-offs are, vis-a-vis advie and crossie.
bottomline, the innova is argueably the overall superior vehicle, in my opinion.

    tama po kayo..

my limiting myself til 900k... thats about it.. i have seen innova but never tried driving it.. Innova E is around 1.06M while a dealer gave Advie Glx at 840k and Croswind XT L.E. at 887K... medyo malayo po difference sa innova.

Mas ok po pala aircon ng advie... mali po pala notion ko that mitsu aircon is not that reliable.. Thanks for the input

    +1 for Innova.

Adventure is a gas (or diesel) guzzler. Sobrang lakas sa diesel. I borrow my uncle's well-maintained (nay, baby maintained) Advie GLS from time to time.

I'd go for a slightly used Innova over these two. Its a much more modern vehicle and yet has proven to be reliable.

    brand new lang daw, sir..
    ayaw ng sakit-ulo.
    pero okey sakit-bulsa.
    heh heh.

some people would rather lose money, than suffer something they do not understand, like car break-down.
and i wouldn't blame them. most of us understand money... few will understand cars.

If we're talking about used cars, I'd go for a slightly used KIA Carnival LWB.

    Thanks sa mga replies...

Wala po masyado 2nd hand in our city (western mindanao)... so options for 2nd hadn are very limited.. I have been looking around, so far eto lang available 2nd hand..
    a. 2009 starex VGT at 1M - 40t mileage
    b. 2010 Everest 4x4 at 750K - 60t mileage

Wala po innova 2nd hand .... maybe I'll give it a hold muna since I'm getting a huge message that innova is way ahead of advie n crosswind...

toyota dealer quoted me innova E for 1.06M.... A 60k diff from a montero glx

The innova J pegs at 886k
    Crosswind xt 883k
    advie glx se 760k

Innova for modern, comfort, new tchnology kaso wala namang power windows and locks
Crosswind for durability, matatag kahit ano isakay mo,torque,FC/fuel efficient 20km/l at max
adventure gadgets, more modern interior, front facing 3rd row like the innova

For what purpose is the car?

I would only get the Adventure/Crosswind if it's for business use.

For personal/family use, the Innova is exponentially better than these two. However, I understand it's out of budget.

I would suggest the Avanza or Ertiga instead. These aren't as rugged as an Adventure/Crosswind, but these are much more comfortable and modern. Not to mention cheaper too.

752k for an AT Ertiga GL, 712k for the MT. Yes it'll have higher fuel consumption than the Adventure/Crosswind, but since it's much cheaper, you still spend less in the long run.

Between the two, for mostly just city usage, I'd go for the Adventure. It has the better looking interior. This is a big factor for me, much more than a good looking exterior, since it is where you would be sitting in. The engine is geared well for city use and has good highway legs. Though it huffs and puffs in the hills. This is seen among taxicabs in Baguio. Adventure's seem to be having a hard time tackling steep inclines while the Crosswind's run around like mountain goats. Though from what I can see it is less susceptible to smoke belching as compared to the Crosswind.
