I'd still stick with the brand new LC. Sourcing the parts will be easier. It has proven itself in the most difficult conditions. There's also a reason why the UN, security companies, etc... all choose the LC.
Maintenance will be cheaper in the medium term due to lower dealership rates. But in the long term, the cost of diesel replacement parts may equal it out... IF you eventually have the cars maintained outside.
But Porsche spares will always cost more.
The Cayenne has a better interior, is more comfortable, drives better, rides better and is quicker. The 08 isn't that great looking, but that's just a matter of taste.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
15 years? Get the LC200. Grey market LC200 ah. And then if you feel somewhat short on power as compared to the Cayenne Turbo, you can mod it a bit. You get more durable internals, lower cost parts, cheaper maintenance, spectacular resale value and better fuel efficiency. That's seems to be a good compromise with the Cayenne's speed and comfort, no?
I don't like the looks of the Cayenne either.
Performance wise, the porsche wins.
Practicality wise, the Toyota takes the victory.
If I'm going to keep a car for 15 years, I'd take the one which has more parts outside. And whichever will be cheaper. Hence, I pick the 2012 Land Cruiser.
If you let's say plan to keep the car for just about 5 years, then no doubt I'd pick the Porsche. Why? You said it, it's a porsche.
the cayenne is one of the greatest suv available in the market right now, but it's not the kind of suv that you'd want to own for more than 5 years. same goes with suv's of bmw, benz, volvo and new land rovers.
LC 200. My 17 year old 80 is still a great daily driver.
Yung Porsche pang collector siguro pwede or kung weekend car.
200 series mapa Iraq o Afghanistan andun pa din, sugod lang!
I like the Cayenne but the LC200 has a better cost-effectiveness on the long run.
LC200 for me. Although the LC200 isn't as bulletproof yet as compared to the LC80 and LC100 diesels, it should still hold its ground in most conditions we see here in the Philippines. With the volume produced and sold all over the world, expect also better parts backing in both the OEM and aftermarket makers.
Never liked the Cayenne in terms of looks and the first models in fact look old already if you ask me.
With a Land Cruiser, 15 years is just barely past the break in period.![]()
I have to agree with most here. Seems in the long run the LC200 is a better choice. Tibay talaga ng LC eh.
Fasten your seatbelt! Or else...Driven To Thrill!
The practical side in me says go for the Land Cruiser .......
However .... the bad boy says go for the Cayenne ... Sometimes you need to "spice" things up a bit .. :D ... di ba?
^^^^^^^ +100%
thanks for the response... i guess majority or all of the votes goes to lc200.... hehehe..
hmmm....
"you only live once".... how can u turn down.. 500bhp.. turbo..

LC200...
Bnew
LC200 can be passed thru generations... hangang sa apo:D
can be daily driven
expensive but parts are available
intimidating (congressman look) hehehe
can fit
Cayenne...
super fast (nakakasawa din yan after flooring a few times...)
same car as pacman.. hehe astig
parts can be hard to find..(baka mahirap pang daily drive)
Hindi ata kaya humarabas ng porsche sa metro manila potholes.
Arabs have been squeezing 500bhp from land cruisers since the 80 series. Hehe
Hehehe... Mahirap nga tumanggi ng 500hp ng Cayenne. But like the other Tsikoteers said, just go tune the LC200! 4.5V8 twin turbo D4D yan, laki ng tuning potential. You can use the money you saved over buying the Cayenne and have a spending spree in Speedlab.![]()
