Nope. It's a product demo campaign/promotion of Ford Focus.
Btw, the Ambiente models have EPS. Oddly though, the 1.6 Trend models (higher than Ambiente) have the old Hydraulic Power Steering System.
It is a contest in Facebook. I registered. I could win a Focus
I test drove it in SM Marikina. It's more of product demo than test drive actually.
They'll let you test 3 features of the Focus: Active City Stop, Park Assist and Sync. Then you have a chance to walk around/scrutinize the units. Trend, Titanium Plus (Sedan) and Sport Plus (Hatch). They don't have Ambiente available for viewing.

1.6L engine, All power amenities, Dual airbags, ABS, Anti theft system, EPS, 4w disc brakes, 16" wheel covers, 205/60R16 Michellin Primacy, 4 speakers. Ambiente 6PS AT adds: EBD, Hill launch assist, ESP
Trend:

Titanium Plus:
Trend plus: 2.0L Ti-VCT engine, side airbags and curtain airbags, torque vectoring control (a brake based LSD), front and rear parking aid, active park assist, active city stop, BLIS, perimeter alarm (?), LED HID headlamps with DRLeds, power retract mirrors with puddle lamp, dual zone auto climate control, leather, titanium trimmings, 4way power driver seats, big power sunroof, auto dimming mirrors, smart keyless entry, engine start/stop, 3 additional speakers (total of 9), cruise control, global open and close windows, heated accoustic windshield, rain sensing wipers, auto on/off headlamps, retractable HL washers.

Wheel cover - ito yung ordinary na mags yung pang taxi? Baduy naman Kung ganun. Pero may hill assist hehe ganda ng SP kaso ang mahal
^ yan na ba yung Focus na "tumalo" sa Elantra in the review of Edmunds?
Ganito kaya yung base model nila?
Looks like a 1.2 Rio LX. But if it's packed with features, why not!
Naaalala ko dyan eh yung mga old 3 series at C class...
kahit mukhang basic sa labas. power everything na din sa loob at full safety features naman.
euro packaging talagang tong Focus.
comment ng Edmunds, for the same features ng Elantra, mahal daw itong Focus
Bakit, pareho ba ng specs yung USDM at PHDM Elantra at Focus?
Looking at local trim variants, the Elantra GLS (958k) competes with the Focus Trend (989k). The Elantra has the better engine, but the Focus has a few tricks up its sleeve - ESP, HLA, dual-clutch tranny (hopefully better than the Fiesta's) and even a fancy LCD with Ford SYNC.
Well, R&D ng Ford went ahead to develop more safety nannies for the Focus than Hyundai did for the Elantra. So yung overhead cost of developing the Focus is more than the Elantra. And not only in safety but in performance as well. More engine choices, performance enhancing aids etc. Naturally it will be more expensive.
I haven't driven the Elantra but when I sat in the Focus. It feels more substantial. The Elantra is less hushed. The mood inside the cabin actually will remind you of last gen's Volvo S60. Thick fat seats. Rich interior materials. The mood is just rich, premium sedan.
