Mine is just an XL variant. Modified lang yung exterior. Hanapin mo na lang sa Me & My tsikot sub-forum yung thread about sa 101 ko.

Anyways. Silvertop engine costs around 25k then labor costs around 6,500. You should atleast prepare 50k for the change engine. Kasi wiring pa etc. etc.

Yup. You should register your new engine at LTO. AFAIK it costs 3,500. But then again, it's your choice. But with your proposed budget of 150k, advice ko siguro wag muna since may repairs din ang 2nd hand vehicles.

Pag nagkamoolah ka, sabay tayo magchange engine. hehehehe j/k.

re : sa e-10. May kakilala ako sa toyota mismo who uses e-10 on his ae101 for about a year na. wala naman, gli din sakanya. shell sha nagpapagas

and nakausap ko shell, may additive daw sila na nilalagay for it to be compatible with carb, non-e10 compatible vehicles. Kaya sa shell ako nagpapalagay eh, unleaded.

    :D HTH.

Tapos, custom headers. Full exhaust system, tapos maayos na air intake.

Yes, pasok sa budget mo iyan. Consider 1.6 Super Saloon, not the 1.4 EX Saloon. All power ang Super Saloon, strong aircon, nice ride. Try to look for low mileage if any, yung medyo sariwa pa.

Wala pang kalawang. Stock pa lahat except sa aircon compressor, at some suspension parts (ball joints, inner/outer tie rod ends, rubber bushings).

I have had these cars before:

An ESi can handle abuse at no sweat (190 kph 3 passengers; powerslides, autocross).
If you consider getting this, be sure you get a real ESi, not an LX (which has a carbureted engine). Lucky you if you got one with a d15b vtec in it.(Fuel economy can go as high as 17 km/l mixed)..

A Lancer GLi (hotdog) has a relevantly weak suspension if not maintained well, but I tried doing autocross while the SLEX was still under renovation. It didn't disappoint.
It's got a great 1.5 efi sohc engine which, under a light foot, can give very decent fuel economy.
(Fuel economy can go as high as 11 km/l mixed)

Currently, I drive a 323 Astina. Sporty handling. Very willing acceleration. (Fuel consumption is fair enough; as high as 10 km/l mixed)

If you max out your budget, be sure you get one in a very good condition (walang paayusin) since you won't have money for repairs anymore).

    * * * * *

    My suggests:
    1. Corolla ae92 (smallbody) swap with 4AFE
On theory, it should be a very fuel efficient car.

    2. Honda Civic ESi
    Be sure it's fule-injected: ph16

    3. Corolla GLi
    Be sure it's fuel-injected: 4AFE

    4. Sentra B13 ECCS
    Be sure it's fuel-injected: GA16DE

    5. Lancer GTi (singkit)
Very light body and EFI engine can give amazing fuel economy
(I used to borrow my tito's GTi before so I know)

hildweller :: baka hindi naalagaan ng mabuti yun. My 13 year old bigbody is still in it's pristine condition. Nung nagpakabit nga ako ng muffs sabi parang bago daw makina eh.

Proper maintenance is the answer. And, it doesn't depend on the car kung madali masira or not, it depends on the owner. ;)

cheap din naman maintenance ng gli eh. every 6 months 2k+ lang ginagastos ko for it's tune up.

markuz :: oks lang din yung series 3. Pero yung 1.6 ha.

aej :: yup. magST ako, hopefully. haha. Kaya lang mas tipid yang 3SGE kaysa sa 4AGE. Nakaka11km/l daw yan accdg to the TACP people.

here you go. di sira yung trunk ko, sadyang binuksan yan. hehehehe
