February 3rd, 2008 03:56 PM #33For me if u r into porma go for Vios, basta Toyota ma-porma talaga yan. But if u r into practical wise go for City, Space wise and exclusivity. Or Test Drive mo talaga pareho yun ang dabest and demand for freebies hehe!
Yung tibay kc pareho clang subok na, both have same 3yr/100K Warranty naman eh.
For window rubber lubricants used Armor All. kung hndi ako nagkakamali ang mga rubber ng windows ng mga bago sasakyan ngyn never dry na, which means no need for lubricants

February 10th, 2008 12:18 AM #34Hi guys. Astig talaga dito sa tsikot, I'm learning so much about cars. I'm also planning to get either a Vios or City. My budget is slightly more flexible though and I'm kinda opting for an automatic. Since walang 1.3 na matic ang Vios, baka mag City nalang ako. Since the new City is coming soon, meron bang discount ung old stock na city? thanks

February 25th, 2008 09:49 AM #37Actually, the new Vios and the current City does look a lot similiar na ngayon. Honestly, nung lumang Vios pa, pangit na pangit ako sa design ng City. As in. Pero when Toyota launched the new Vios, ay mas ok nga ang City! hahahaha (kung ako ang tatanungin).
Performance wise, the Vios might be an HP or two more powerful than the City pero the City's i-DSI engine has much more torque at low rpm making it much more efficient since you don't have to rev up that much to get the car moving.
Both are good cars pero value for money, City talaga ako...

March 2nd, 2008 06:54 PM #39i had a chance to test drive both cars for abt 3 days each last week (borrowed, he,he). 06 city and 07vios, broken in na. same route, time of day, 2 passengers. 12.5km per liter s city, 11 ang vios at best..pareho lng ang riding comfort & driving characteristics. tama kayo, pareho mukhang ipis! dati yung vios mukhang ok pa e, ngayon ginaya na ang city. i guess thats the shape of the future. pero.....walang kalaban-laban ang vios sa ult seats ng city. panis! sanay ako mag drive ng van e. nagulat ako! nilamon ng city yung mga odd shaped boxes, pati unfolded baby stroller! wow, hanep talaga. super useful . wala na ko masabi. kahit na mukhang ipis..

The verdict....
We got the Vios Mica Red. 2 weeks ago na
Sobra nahirapan kami. Sabi nga nya, sana yung interior na lang nang City yung nasa Vios.
Got it Super black around and medium black front tint. Astig! Manyak tint for a lady driver hehehe...
No regrets so far. Great quality build and ride. Nababawi naman sa pagka bland nung dash habang nakasakay
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
