Most of the owners na kumukuha ng mid-sized sedan, (camry & accord)
1. Foreigner, (investors na merong company sa dito sa pinas and "service car" nila pag pumpunta dito sa pinas.)
2. Some Filipino Owners ng malaking company at ginagamit nila as "service car" for everyday work.
3. 5 Star Hotel/Casino, gamit naman nila as "service car" for their VIP costumers.
Ginagamit nila as "Service Car", bakit?! yan ang gusto ng certain owner/company na preferred nila gamitin na sasakyan.

February 16th, 2015 06:11 PM #12Ground clearance and seating capacity are non-factors in getting one. Its all about the ride comfort and prestige without the maintenance cost associated European cars. Executives and the like are usually the target market.
There's a big difference in comfort when driving or riding in a sedan compared to a compact sedan and more so on a sub-compact sedan. All can sit 4-6, lalo na sa atin basta lang naisasara pa pinto kasya. What more compared to ladder frame SUV's. Also take into consideration the age of the owners. Getting in and out of an SUV can be difficult for someone in their senior years.
If I had a fleet of 3 vehicles I would definitely get one to go with an SUV, and small hatch like the jazz or a fiesta.

February 16th, 2015 11:24 PM #14midsize sedans generally offer more comfortable rides.. and with a driver, what better way to spend heavy traffic in...
besides, it's not everyday that the roads get flooded..
if it were not for the larger size, more fuel costs, and higher price, i'd get a midsize..

Mid-size sedans are not called executive sedans for nothing.
You are lounging in the back, somebody does the driving.

Kaya most of the owners/users of mid-sized sedans po,
The comfort and relax during trip from point a to point b as passenger, in a certain business appointment,
simple, but classy style design of car, + the practical means pag dating sa PMS. All the safety features and accessories needed are already equipped.

IMHO comfort. Besides, with the advances of modern technologies nowadays, the 2.4 to 3.5 cc engine displacements can really compete with the compact and subcompact cars in terms of fuel efficiency in MIXED city/highway scenarios.
We have a 3.5 V6 accord in the province. Doesn't really get caught in a metro manila defined traffic situation. Travels mostly 100 kms one way and gets around 14-15kms/liter (on board computer).

February 17th, 2015 10:06 AM #19I currently drive a 1999 Accord Vti-L 2.4L.
I have been recently riding in vios taxis na latest model. The ride is too stiff, the seats (front and back) are too stiff and upright. Legroom (front and back) is there but seems to be just sakto lang comparing to the Accord. I could just imagine the driving position on a long drive will be tiring if the seat is too upright. Visibility from the back is very limited. Overall interior width is, again, just sakto lang comparing to a midsize.
My previous ride was a 1999 City Type Z Vti 1.5L. I just used it last weekend going from Las Pinas to San Juan, Batangas. My first and lasting impression was that it was too light. Madaling ma-sway ng hangin sa expressways. Masyadong light ang steering. Again, the interior space is so-so. Much less space than current model Vios, but again tamang space lang. The rear seat angle is surprisingly more relaxed than current model Vios.
Plus, I think midsize sedans are built tougher to last longer, considering that they have to pass global standards compared to subcompacts that are defined by regional standards. Yun langitngit ng Accord is dahil sa loose items sa glove compartment. Yun city may orchestra ng squeaks at langitngit.
Ano pa kaya yun mga latest models na mid-size

If you ask me, iba pa rin ang comfort level, space and power ng mid sized sedan. SUVs are not for everyone, and compact cars (i.e. Corolla, Civic, Lancer) may have grown and matured in the past decade, they are still not at that level of the mid sized sedan.
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
