I guess prices of these cars will continue its downward spiral especially w/ the reported upcoming automatic P7 price increase of petrol due to the new taxation scheme

when you look into the abyss, the abyss looks into you

Bro I think the net increase for gasoline will be Php 5.65 over 3 years. 2.65 next year, 2.00 on top of that in 2019 and 1.00 on top of that in 2020. The Php 7.00 excise tax they mentioned for next year already takes into account the existing Php 4.35 excise tax for gas.

For diesel it will be Php 6.00 broken into 2.50, 2.00, 1.00.

i have always thought, that unless the discount is very attractive, buying "assumed balance" is usually akin to buying a used car, at brand new price.
compute for the total cost of that car to you, po. 150K + monthlies.
peruse olx and see the asking price of such car, cold cash.

btw, be sure the bank is represented in the contract you are going to sign. after all, they are still the legal owner, of sorts.

There was a thread here about the wife of the owner not paying their credit card bills and the bank decides not to clear the papers of the car loan even if it was fully paid by the buyer already ...

    ah yess.
my heart went out to the buyer in good faith, but...
    business is business.

buyer says he was willing to pay the credit card utang.
but bank refuses to tell them how much... "bank secrecy" daw...
    crazy.

    i wonder...
"there's 100K in my account. here's a withdrawal slip signed by me. the amount line is empty. fill in the amount you need to settle that CC debt, and withdraw the money. then let me have my car already."
    heh heh.

    it's been some time.
i wonder what became of the issue?
