GPS tracker, car alarm at Dashboard Camera?

isa lang computation nang FMV nang mga insurance.. based sa model, type and year nang car..
they use ::Welcome to IMSI
if it's not there.. what they do is they depreciate last year's FMV by 10%..
yung mga aftermarket gadgets.. unless declared.. bale wala yan..

November 23rd, 2012 07:19 PM #28unfortunately, they are the ones who determine your car's insured value, not the car owner. but i think you can strike a bargain with them if there is something special with your car; you will probably be asked to fork out a bigger premium.
but the insured amount is the maximum they will pay, not the amount you expect to receive. they have as much fine print as the other lending institutions..

November 23rd, 2012 07:25 PM #29Hope you wont mind me asking din. So what sir if i'm gunning for a 99-00 VTI na manual. Anu dapat ang FMV nito as in yun fair talaga. Honest to goodness sale. Or 2001-2003 civic vtec? Minsan kasi makikita mo sa ad 2 to 3 years difference nila pero same lang asking price. Yun iba talagang too good to be true. Kaya sana alam ko kung magkano talaga yun FMV nya based sa honest good condition. Thanks.

November 23rd, 2012 07:46 PM #30i really do not know if there is really such a thing as FMV. insurance firms have a guide of sorts, but...
but there is the actual sale price. it is the amount of money that is actually handed over in exchange for the keys.. and of course, that amount is dependent on the seller, the buyer, and the perceived condition of the car. i have personally forked over more than 300K for a car with a "FMV" of only 250K. but i am happy with the buy, because the car was in true, drive-away condition.
scanning the ads, your target car may have a range of 170-250K. so i suppose the question is, in what condition is your target?
bottomline: everything is a gamble. i'm sorry, but i can not give you a numerical answer, because every person is unique.
and do not believe everything written on the ad! the ad is designed to sell the car, not to tell the truth. the only accurate entry on the ad is the contact number.Last edited by dr. d; November 23rd, 2012 at 08:00 PM.
