Procedure of Change of Ownership

wanna share my case....
I bought this 1991 corolla sa second owner. the car was 1st registered sa Cebu. Plaka niya is G. xerox na lang po yung OR and CR kasi nawala na daw ng 1st owner yung CR dati pa. pero may affidavit naman po yung 1st owner na beyond recovery na yung CR, kung anu-anong clearance,deed of sale at kung anu-ano pa! may document po akong nakita na binigay saken ng 2nd owner na may confirmation request sila from LTO Cebu para mai-transfer na yung ownership sa pangalan ng 2nd owner and matransfer na din ata yung file ng car from Cebu to Pasig ( sa Pasig na po pala nirerehistro yung car simula nung mabili ng 2nd owner yung car at zerox lang ng CR meron siya).
Tinawagan ko po yung 2nd owner to confirm what happened sa request nila, he said na after a year nung nagrequest sila ( i think nung 1999 pa ata yun..hehehe ) na matransfer yung file dito sa Pasig, wala pa din daw yung file,so tinamad na daw siya at di na naasikaso.
I talked to a "kapit" sa LTO para malaman kung ano puwedeng gawin.
icconfirm muna daw niya kung nandito na sa LTO Pasig yung file and kung may ID with signature silang kopya dun ng 1st owner. pero the lto guy said na dapat nandito na since sumagot ang LTO cebu sa confirmation request nila na binayaran ng 2ng owner.hehehe.
Ang problema lang daw kasi sa mga lumang cars like mine, hindi pa computerized noon. type writer pa ginagamit kaya may pagkamatagal ang pagpproseso.
Nakapangalan padin kasi sa 1st owner yung car.
Hindi na din mahagilap nung 2nd owner yung 1st owner. pero I have their address in Paranaque. Maybe one of these days, magrroad trip ako para mahagilap siya for the ID and signature. kakailanganin ko daw eh.
Gusto ko na din kasi magkaroon na ng kopya ng CR eh, tapos mailipat na sa name ko.
the lto guy na pinakilala saken is asking for like 4.5k para maasikaso niyang lahay,siya na daw maglalakad for me...lipat na din sa pangalan ko...hehehehe... balitaan ko kayo guys kung ano mangyayare... para magkaron din kayo ng idea at para maipakilala ko din tong kapit na to. mabait naman at mukhang di manloloko. malaki ba yung hinihingi guys? di ko lang maalala masyado yung hinihingi eh.. tatawagan ko na mga lang ulit siya.sabi ko kasi magiipon muna ako kasi rehistro nadin ng oto ko eh.. hehehehe.

Same case tayo halos...up to now di ko pa napapatransfer yung sa ownership ng sasakyan ko..medyo tinatamad na pero napapaisip next yr by January sabay rehistro change na rin, May copy ako ng OR and CR and mga deed of sales, but the problem is ayun wala akong copy nung mga ID's nung previous owners. But last Feb i almost tried na pachange ng ownership sa kakilala ng friend ko sa LTO-FTI. The LTO employee is asking me around 6K change ownership and pati na rin rehistro at di ko na daw prob mga ID's ng previous owners, pero wala pa daw dun yung porsyento nya (Kaya napaisip pa ako). But etong January 2011 try ko siguro ulit contact yun and ask sa kanya ulit. Update mo kami sa gagawin mo. Thanks!.

Mga sirs, I need some help. My dad is planning to change the ownership of the car he bought a few years back, kasi plano na niya ibenta. Here's the prob:

- My father bought a car a couple of years back. My dad is the 3rd owner. Documents he got are the original copies of the OR and CR, as well as the deed of sale between him (3rd owner) and the 2nd owner, and the deed of sale between the 1st and 2nd owners.

- The deed of sale between my dad and the 2nd owner is the original and is notarized.

- However, as I was checking his documents, the deed of sale between the 1st owner and the 2nd owner appears to be just a photocopy with no notarization (if he did have it, di ko mahanap )

- He is planning to sell the car so gusto namin papalitan yung pangalan sa registration.

Is it ok that the deed of sale between the 1st and 2nd owner is an "unnotarized" photocopy? Kaya pa ba ipa change ownership yung kotse?

^^ no, kailangan notarized lahat ng deed of sale.

kung photocopy yung notarized, meron naman nakalagay sa ilalim kung saang document and book number kung saan nakafile na RD. punta sa RD, request ng duplicate. you might need the help of the 2nd owner on this.

Yes you need a clearance for that.

There's a PNP-HPG that does clearances sa MMDA Compound in Meralco Ave., below the flyover after passing Renaissance Towers.

Mahigpit ba dito ang LTO?

try going to east ave main LTO to tell your situation. baka may other option. meron mga fixer na "no show" pero i would not risk giving the orig or/cr and deed of sale.

normally kasi you have to go to cebu to do the tranfer.

kala ko itatawag na lng ng LTO main sa cebu pra makuha ung file. hassle
pa pla ngayn ung change ng location.
