Need help..regarding car papers

Hello to all,

I just need your help regarding car documents and papers, I was about to buy this nice honda car, but we decided to hold it off for a while,, because in the OR/CR the color of the car is white, ..but current color is green and also the current owner was not on the OR/CR, it was still named to the 1st owner.the owner told me he had it open deed of sale from the first owner and he said there would be no problem ,if i bought and made another deed of sale. I text the LTO to verify the plate, and there's no apprehension and alarm for the car.

Is it ok to buy the car, considering it had an open deed of sale. I want it to register to my name,in case I decided to buy it, what problems I might encounter ? How much it will cost me to have it on my name...Regards

i wouldn't.
yes, he may be right.
but then again, he may be not right.
you say the color is different from what is originally recorded? maybe he or the previous owner had the car re-painted to hide something you don't want to know...
change ownership and change color documents are not expensive. just a few hundred kesos.
nguni at napakaraming second hand car dyan na matino ang papeles at nasa magandang kundisyon. why gamble? in case the deal turns sour, who's left holding the bag?

i used to be an impulsive buyer. until i learned a valuable lesson: don't rush. considering the large amount of money involved, it's always good (good? imperative is more like it!) to have more than one choice. why not visit several for sale cars first? then make yer choice. remember, a seller isn't in a hurry to get rid of his good-running car, because such cars are easy to sell.
in the buy and sell page of this address, there are 18,000 used honda ads and 15,000 used toyota ads. considering toyota has been here longer than honda, why...? is it because honda cars are more expensive to maintain? i don't know... but it's certainly worth thinking over.

and believe me... i got lots of negative comments on
my post back then... kesyo "maarte" or "very demanding"
yung ads ko... pero I don't give a damn!! because i also got
lot of emails n calls/txt on car owners that means no "BS" also...

my point is... maraming car owner na ayaw din ng mga buyer
na "maiinis" lang sila kaya hindi nila pino-post yung car nila sa
mga forum ads pero nagbabasa or naghahanap din sila ng good
buyer... at sila ang kokontak mismo sa iyo... meron din mga 3rd
person pero ok lang as long as makaka-usap mo rin yung owner
mismo... nakakapagod lang puntahan at mahirap mamili pero at
least puro sigurado yung mga choices mo... HTH

paano kung ang first owner ay patay na at nakapangangalan sa kanya ang OR/CR at ibebenta na ng kanyang anak, anong mga papers na kelangan?

ibebenta lang nila yung car kasi madami na sila bagong car, they are upgrading their old cars to new models.

btw, first owned pa yung car ng family nila, at yung anak na nagbenta may ari sila ng hotel and they owned lots of cars, benz, bmw, expedition, innovas etc...

kelangan pa ba ng photocopy ng ID nung first owner (dad ng nagbenta) na patay na? or a document stating minana na ng kanyang anak yung Car?
