generally, tyre warranties are separate from the car's warranties.
prone-ness to flats is probably more in the realm of the tyre's construction, the driver's neighborhood route, or maybe even the driver's habits, and not the car.
    heh heh heh.

i used to have a 2005 innova. it was almost problem-free. my only issues with it, were the factory stick shift (replaced for 3K), and the failed alternator bearing that caused my battery to go flat.

sold that 2005 MT for an AT.
Ibang boring po ibig sabihin niya po, they owned a talyer kasi at parang less lang nila makita yung innova sa kanila.

Regarding the tire issue ng officemate ko, long drive po mga around 200km niya always maranasan.
May something daw sa design sa rear, I think ibig nyang sabihin is sometimes mag touch daw yung tire at some part ng rear wheel area.
I haven't seen close Innova rear wheel part naman so hindi ko masyado maintindihan yung explanation niya.
Sa long drive lang daw kahit ibang routa and lagi niya tong ma encounter.
That unit was an Innova G MT 2014 or 2015 ba yun, sold at 500k.

and oh yes! it did not have an aircon filter. i had the aircon buoys cut into the plastic housing, so's we can insert in, the regular filter. newer models had a filter.
Yung latest gen kaya, may aircon filter na kaya?

i believe his definition of boring is essentially the same as mine.
both are because the car is indestructible. i don't get surprised by issues, and his talyer don't get to see broken innovae.

    flat tyres.
the rear tyres are statistically more prone to flat tyre due to puncture, while the front right tyre gets leaks or gets ripped more often, as it is the one more prone to getting curb'ed (LHD).
the front tyre rolls over the puncturing object in its laid-down position. no issues.
but the front tyre upends the laid-down object, such that when the rear tyre comes, the object is now standing up and punctures the tyre.

my 2005 innova had no aircon filter.
my 2009 and 2011 both had filters.

How about Ang automatic tranny nila, Wala bang problema? Haven't heard anything about them or talagang oblivious Lang ako talaga sa Isuzu.

Other than that, wala din akong narinig na issue lately sa Isuzu aside sa mausok which I think correlates to their older model engines (Crosswind, Sportivo?).

Usual PMS at wear and tear items lang.

    2015 Mux (AT, 4JK1)
    Alterra (AT, 4JJ1)
    Light trucks (MT, 4JH1, 4JJ1)

I am on my late 30s already and currently working as a corporate guy but planning to grab early retirement if ever the company offer it this year. I plan to pursue and focus on my small guitar business. My wife is pregnant to our 2nd and 3rd babies so in total we will be 5 in the family this year. My initial choice was a Montero but after knowing that my wife is carrying twins on her belly that i decided to lower my budget to allocate some on her pregnancy. I need help to decide what kind of SUV will fit to our needs. I listed the criteria below.

    - Automatic
    - Fuel Efficient (Expecting to travel a lot from Rizal to Pampanga and vice versa)
    - Big Space since i will be carrying guitars for business and churchmates on Sundays
    - Mura at Maraming Pyesa sa Market
    - Will be serviceable by mechanics in the next 10 years (If i didnt make it sa aming business baka 1st and last na car na to hehehe)

Sana po matulungan nyo ako, i asked advice from my in laws and friends but the common answer to me is Innova and Sportivo. I want to know the opinions of other people din.

I understand your situation, and it’s great that you’re carefully considering all factors before making a decision. With your PHP 400K budget and specific needs, you might want to include Hyundai SUVs in your list of options, like the Hyundai Tucson or Santa Fe. These models are known for their spacious interiors, fuel efficiency, and reliability—great for a growing family and a small business like yours.

What’s more, Hyundai vehicles are relatively easy to maintain, and you can find a reliable Hyundai workshop near me or even in areas like Rizal or Pampanga to handle servicing and repairs. Hyundai parts are becoming more available in the market, making it a practical choice for long-term use.

If you’re open to exploring second-hand units, you might find well-maintained Hyundai SUVs within your budget. Just make sure to check service records and, if possible, have it inspected at a trusted Hyundai workshop near you for peace of mind.

Good luck with your search, and congratulations on the twins and your exciting plans for the future! God bless!

A late model 1st gen Innova 2.5L (2KD) Diesel could be within your budget. They're very reliable, fairly cheap to maintain, and will serve the purpose you have in mind.

I sold my 2015 Innova G 2.5 almost a year ago for 500k. It had 65k on the clock and nothing to fix. I'm sure you can still get one around or below that amount in 2025.
