You think the Ford Everest 3rd row is not so comfortable but you're suggest a Nissan Xtrail?
I find the 3rd row as jump seats only... In case you need extra seats... Used the 3rd row.. If you regularly need the 3rd row... Better get a van...
hi... new here sa forums po. i'm currently looking forward for my first car purchase next year jan 2016. i've driven quite a few cars (sorento, jazz, vios, etc.) but never got the chance to own one until now.
these cars are on my shortlist, by preference:
1st: mazda cx 5 / hyundai sta fe MT (too pricey, not sure if it's worth in the long run, maybe 8-10 yrs)
2nd: mazda 3 hatch / sedan
3rd: honda jazz (not sure if AT is worth it)
4th: toyota innova MT diesel
among my considerations is the aftersales service, as i won't have a lot of time to go back & forth to the dealer, and the type of fuel as well (diesel vs gas, and if gas, 97 octane might be too expensive in the long run... i'm currently not aware of the projections of fuel pricing.)
can't make a thread yet as i'm a new user so i made this long post here. thanks!
Buy a car that you love, it helps to calm you down pag naipit ka sa traffic.
my personal feeling is that higher-seating vehicles (innova) do tend to make me drive more aggressively.
lower-seating vehicles (sedans, hatch), makes me drive more serenely.
taller vehicles are also more flood-brave than sedans and hatches.
diesels are a no-no for tree-huggers (pollution-conscious folks).
i love my innova, but it's a bit on the large-ish side.. if you live in a tight neighborhood..
i'd probably recommend a sedan.. try out a few and see which one your body likes.
With the perennial flooding problem in the metro, if you are from here, it helps to have a taller vehicle.
+1. the higher the better, especially floods are getting worse every year. i remember just this year there was a sudden downpour and vehicles were no longer moving at visayas avenue. yun pala flooded yung sa may central avenue. i had to do a detour through sandville then palabas na ganun din naka-stop lahat kasi mataas level ng creek more than wheel height. suvs and pickups were driving though, sedans were just idling on the side. kung sedan dala ko baka inabot ng gabi sa school mga anak ko.
Badly need Advice brods. My choices on SUVs were only narrowed into two:
1) Mitsubishi Montero 2016 4x2 GLS Premium; or
2) Isuzu MU-X 3.0 4x2 LS-A
My itinerary is from QC to Makati EVERYDAY. im considering the following factors in the following priority:
1) Reliability: Are the two SUVs worlds apart in reliability? How many years do you think will i be able to use granting i maintain it in a casa?
2) PMS: Do you know how much higher (by percentage) is the cost of PMS from each manufacturer?
3) Ride quality: Drove the top of the line 2012montero(not mine). when i drove the mu-x, some of my passengers were commenting that "matagtag" ang mu-x compared to the montero. can somebody confirm if the ride comfort is that uncomfortable?
I would not consider the new fortuner as i heard from a review that it is not fuel efficient.
Thank you in advance!!!
I think the montero would give better FC because of the following factors:
1. More powerful but smaller displacement engine in the montero. Also more advanced in design.
2. 8 speed transmission in the montero vs 5 speed of the isuzu. The transmission alone will make / give a big improvement.
Cant say anything about reliability. Id say they are at par if you maintain it regularly. Costs would be roughly the same.
I have a trailblazer ltz which is closely related to the isuzu as they share the same platform. The ride quality is okay though i cant sit in the back seat for long as it doesnt support your thighs that well. The bench is short in length.
