I dont think it's the correct mindset. Let's face it, 20k gross even net wont be enough.

Pero rationally speaking with a 20k gross pay mukhang mahihirapan talaga.

Kahit magkautang utang kamo? Mahirap mag evolve buhay sa utang, yun tipong pang bayad mo ng utang eh ipangutang mo din, time will come wala ka na mahanap pang tapal sa bayarin mo.

Yes it takes guts / leap of faith in big purchases pero hindi dapat mawala yung pag isipan mo gagawin mo.

Magpakabaon sa utang just for a car? Crazy. Mangungutang ka knowing full well you can't afford to pay it? Edi narepossess lang yan.

Ok lang umutang if you're sure that your income will increase significantly in the coming months/years.

When i bought my own car mejo maliit pa sweldo ko nun. Buti nalang tumaas at nakaluwag luwag ako. Then umutang uli ako to start a business. Thinking of putting up another one, pero uutang uli ako. Hehehe! Iniisip ko kasi in the near future, pag bayad na lahat, all income nun sakin na. 3mos nalang din kasi fully paid nako sa inutang ko sa business. Thank you Lord!

    *TS: Share ko lang.

When my wife and I started out as family, wala sa options namin bumili ng car. We both commute to work kahit inconvenient minsan lalo at umuulan. The only time a car was considered was when we had our 1st born, kasi mahirap magcommute ng kasama si baby. We can opt to buy brand new though financing kasi di namin kaya cash payment that time, but we opted to buy a second hand unit because: 1. it will be my 1st car to drive as our own. 2. we rather save our income for the future. The car became a necessity for us, but all we need is a reliable ride to take us from point A to B. Paid it in cash, no worries sa amortization. After a couple of years, we sold it and got another 2nd hand unit, but a lot younger. It took another 3 years before we sold it and got a bnew unit.

Parehas po tayo ng nagging deciding factor to finally purchase a car, the 1st born.
Luckily my company shoulders 30% of the car price, insurance, and registration with no down payment needed to be paid for 5 years. The only catch is syempre I should stay for the company for the duration of the loan or else it will be immediately due in full.

Isn't the easiest way to get a car is to be a Med Rep? lalo na kapag hot chick ka?

My Uncle did something similar. He bought a huge house when he was just starting out with his own family. He said that inspired him to work hard. Among all his siblings, he's the most financially successful. I don't think I could take that much of a risk though.

Samin hindi I heard that some local banks don't even have a car benefit (BDO). Sa BPI maganda car plan. That is really the best option to have a car

I'm pretty sure your uncle didn't buy that house without knowing where he'll be getting his monthly payments.

You can also stay inspired without digging yourself deep into debt. Just focus on saving, investing, and increasing your income to that point wherein you have enough liquid cash to make a downpayment for your house, and are making more than enough to cover for the monthly amortization.

His income was "sagad" for the monthly payments though his Mom could bail him out (which never happened). I admire how he became more successful than his parents pa.

BTT Maintindihan ko paglulunod sa trabajo for a house but for a car, no way I really wanted an SUV as my daily driver but my family only gave me enough for a sedan. I had to cover the 300k shortfall (since they refuse to lend me that). I decided to just live with a sedan, at least I can leave my job anytime I want and not have to worry about debt.

many of the founders of companies today are like that.
work 'til the bones of their hands show.
burn their bridges behind them, so's they have no recourse but to trudge on forward.

but the difference is, these guys did it to survive, not so's they can have a nice car.

the series, "the men who built america", says these driven men like one thing most of all.. to win!

May fuel allocation pa.
