Thread seems abit toxic. Almost like pandora's box 2020 edition.
Thank you po mga tito/ boss.
Super helpful ng mga insights nyo.
Yes siguro much better if brand new para hindi na ako mag problema sa mekaniko during negotiations.
Maintenance at insurance nalang kase this will be my first car. Medyo newbie pero ive been watching a lot of YouTube tutorials.
ganun lang talaga tingin ko budget ko. Either mag lowend car nalang ako like vios or mirage g4? Atleast practical? Sedan ang prefer ko po.
Background ko lang: I am earning 70k gross and got under 18k excess kase may mga other goal ako pinag iipunan.
I just thought na mas okay ko na mabili ang car while single pa ako para kapag may own family na iba na prio ko and baka 5 years from now, iba na presyo nila. What other stuff can i do to maximize this?
Thank you po.

So you don't need the car now? Bibili ka lang just to get it out of the way? I suggest, later ka na lang bumili, I think car prices are not going to run away at least for another year, by then, you will be in a better cash position.
If it were me, I’d get a 2nd hand Subaru. Guaranteed, you will enjoy driving & modifying it. May 2016 XV w/49K kms selling for P840k

That’s where the fun is. By then, verified tsikot man.
But usually, first time owners will get a ride that is practical, then gets bored & sells it or spend a sum modifying it.
Single pa naman sya sa ngayon & I think a City or a Vios hindi babagay sa kanya. Honestly TS, don’t go practical. Go Subaru.

Check with your preferred bank. Like minimum 30% down, up to 2-3yrs to pay lang. Interest rates nearing personal loan levels (read:double the usual car loan rates) And up to 5 yr old na car model.
Based on your 150k on hand, you might need to think about this more. Again check with your bank.
I did this before, nagulat lang ako sa rates,. Didn't push thru my purchase. Was supposed to be a Fortuner 4x4 worth 1M.

150k dp at 13k monthly ammo
Okay na kaya yang auto na yan for my needs and since toyota naman?
Kakayanin ba nyan ang mga long distance travel like tagaytay or bicol. Mga ganun
Salamat po

exactly, kilala mo yung "previous owner"
My first 2 cars were 2nd hand and palagi kong naiisip kung paano sya ginamit nung dating may-ari. Yung Lancer ko mentioned earlier, binati pa ako ng guard when I entered a gentleman's bar -> regular daw nila yung previous owner(yung plate nya was the initials of the previous owner + 777)
***
as for my new Wigo vs a used Corolla mentioned earlier.
Yung last car ko from my Dad was a Big Body, year 10 before I was assigned overseas, me and my wife decided to have it returned to my Dad.
Bago namin ibalik, I had the whole suspension replaced (new shocks/struts/bushings)
After the repair, the car was wow. Like new! Sometimes di natin ramdam yung difference between "Pwede pa," "maayos pa," and "maganda"
IMO, if budget permits everyone deserves to feel a "maganda"
A used car that has 50K on the Odo "Maayos Pa"
Everything else is "pwede pa"
May nahanap ako sa fb , okay ba ang hyundai reina?
40k all in tapos 13k monthly
Promo raw yung 30% na dp. 40k nalang
Chineck ko yung car maganda itsura kaso okay ba to in the long run?
So i have 3 cars na tingin ko pasok sa budget
Mirage g4:
50k dp : 14k monthly
Hyundai reina 1.4 A/T : 730k
40k dp : 13k monthly
Vios XE a/t : 747,000
50k dp : 16k monthly
Prang nakaka akit yung reina e. Promo daw . Baka sirain yan?

Hyundai dapat malapit ka sa casa, 5yrs mo tyaga PMS 3months/5k kms. Bawi sila sa PMS, mas napamahal ka. I'd go with Vios from your choices for peace of mind.
Kung requirement mo ay cheap city car that seats 4 then i'd suggest compact hatch like Wigo, Brio.
