econ 11 lang yan supply and demand.

cars with high resale value are those that are in high demand on the used car market. what makes a car a "used car best buy"? reliability, looks, history, brand image, etc. etc....whatever makes a car desirable to used car buyers.

I think it is the perception of people. Back in 70's and early 80's, the most relaible and afforable cars were from Toyota and Mitsubishi. While other brands were available, these brands stuck to peoples minds. Case in point: PBA's only Number & (Jaworski) endorising a gorgeous, 2L Toyota Corona Macho Machine, and then of course there is the venerable Lancer L-types and box types. So, people back then, when thinking of reliablilty and reselability, though of these two brands. Honda also had a small presence here back then, through their vehicles powered by their CVCC technology.

for me, the vehicle that astoundingly retains its resale value is the land cruiser VX turbo diesel local release. up to now, it still resells for 900,000 to 1 million pesos. incredible for a car that is over 10 years old
