    hi mga expert... innocent pa kasi ako about legalities of the car...

    kc nga nakipagswap nako tsikot while im outside d country... eh yung dating car ko, di pa naka-pangalan sa kin, kc kabibili ko pa lang yun sa bf ko, tapos umalis pa nag ko, so ngayon pina-swap na sa ibang car yung dating car... question ko lang, pwedi ba ma-process na i-pangalan sa kin yung bagong car kahit wala ako sa pinas??? uwi pa lang ako sa october eh... so yung open yung kung kanino naka-pangalan yung car....

    ano po ba ang dapat gawin????

    you would need to sign sa deed of sale eh which serves as a legal proof na tinatransfer sa iyo yung ownership ng oto.

    i think you also would need to sign sa TMG clearance eh, so definitely hindi muna maipapangalan sa iyo yung car after you swapped it.

    the best thing to do is just to have it transferred after you come back here. ang important lang naman is yung deed of sale eh nakapangalan sa iyo, duly signed by both parties and notarized. pag nasa iyo na yun, madali ng mag transfer.

    so u meant to say, yung car na nakuha namin di muna papangalan sa kin??? pag-uiw ko dun pa lang tatransfer yung name sa kin ganun po ba???:?:

    yup. make sure you sign the deed of sale ha? alang kaso yung immediate transfer of ownership to you just as long as you have the copy of the deed of sale. you can just do it later at your convenient time.

    And dapat hawak mo na or someone you trust ang OR/CR ng oto na kinuha mo. Madali mag-magic ng deed of sale, pero he or she who holds the OR/CR will be honored as the real owner of the vehicle.
