July 7th, 2015 09:55 PM #24I mostly see and found MAF sensors in the throttle body, intake manifold and/or air box.

July 7th, 2015 10:09 PM #25Sa mga Ford lynx, 2001 or 2002 model. Mura na. As is conditions.

July 16th, 2015 10:29 AM #26thank you very much Sir Rodetor!
I am looking at the following cars:
Honda Civic LXI (too pricey for me i think)
Corolla Bigbody GLI (para sana EFI and mas tipid)
Lancer Itlog (may nakita kasi akong picture sa internet na ang ganda pag inayusan lancer though may nababasa pa din akong usual problems like suspension and servo)
Lancer Pizza (same with above)
Nissan Sentra Super Saloon/Super touring (B13)- for me ito sana yung pinakapractical as many car enthusiasts say na sa class level nya, mas advance sya in terms of technology sa mga kasabayan nyang kotse (timing chain, efi, etc.). and mukhang okay din naman pormahan. and mukhang mababa resale value ng nissan maybe because of the misconception na mahal pyesa ng nissan. pero dito talaga ako medyo favor sa sentra.
Tulungan nyo naman ako mga sirs.

Yung ipangpoporma mo ng 20-year old car mo, ipunin mo nalang para mas bago bago mabibili mong kotse.
Don't get me wrong, a 90's sedan that's tastefully modded looks beautiful, but it's also not cheap. You'd be spending around half of the cost of the 90s car just to get good rims, lowering springs, and other minor mods.
If you wanna be frugal, just get a 96-97 Corolla GLi for about 150k, then spend the rest of your money for repairs to get it running in tiptop shape, and for maintenance to keep it running in tiptop shape.
Any extra money you'll have would be better spent in saving for a new car instead of trying to modify an old car which only get older and more problematic as the years pass.

July 17th, 2015 10:58 PM #28Anong bang purpose ng car sa iyo? Or you just like to own and have one? Ano man dahilan, beneficial naman kaya gusto mo bumili, siguro tama naman ako.
Honda - yup, medyo pricey(kapag casa maintain). But it depends on its condition.
Toyota - commonly commercial passenger car to our country, ( no offend po ha.) Indeed practical, reliable as well, parts are rampantly available.
Lancer (itlog or pizza) - ok naman, don't be discourage of what issue you heard in gossips.
Nissan (Sentra 3) - ok rin naman.
Ano man pasok sa budget mo. Ano man mapili magustuhan mo, basta maayos ang papel rehistro at maayos manakbo. Hanggat maaari wala madaming ginawang modifications(engine, body, suspensions and interior). Makita mo intact pa lahat at all panel gauge, lights works properly to its functions.
At panghuli, i-test drive mo.

Parehas yan kasama sa maintenance period na pinapalitan in time. Sa belt type naman no need to replace pulleys(camshaft & crankshaft) tensioner bearing pulley lang minsan, just my opinion.
As the chain wears, also the links sprockets wears. Metal to metal contact-friction even if wet in oil. Compare to timing belt driven type, the belt wears off a lot than the metal pulley itself.
