mga sir, overrated ba ang sound magus na amplifier? parang gusto ko na kase mag palit from my sound magus VS 1500.1 to Firland Audio FA 1200.1. mas malakas yung firland nung narinig ko eh although 1200 watts sya. sa bagay kase ang magus dapat 14.4V yung voltage para ma achieve yung power na yun eh. eh syempre mentras mo lakasan volume at ma bayo yung kanta, bababa yung voltage diba mga sir.

sa mga Firland users dito mga sir, mabilis bang uminit mga firland nyo kahit low volume, low bass for a normal city driving? may nagsabe kase saken mabilis daw talagang mag init ang firland na amp?

If you want a frank answer, yes they do. But don't frown upon them since everybody does it at those price levels. If ever Firland tests their equipment at the usual 13.8V and gets 1200W then the Sound Magus is still more powerful as it'll output around 1350W+ at 13.8V theoretically.

One cannot simply judge that X amplifier is louder than Y amplifier from the sound alone this is because the settings is different. For example, just upping the gain knob on the amplifier can magically "amplify" your volume to the innocent hearer (please do not treat the gain knob as a volume knob). EQ settings such as bass boost or a +2 dB in the sub-bass regions would also affect the amount of bass. Another instance is increasing the line-out voltage via a line-out converter or simply having a headunit that outputs a high voltage such as Eclipse 7200MKIIs at 8Vs versus Pioneer's usual 4V.

Both of them are Class D topologies. Although efficient, if you're using 1000W of power, talagang iinit yan. Watts is a unit of power. Ever touched a 50W incandescent bulb while it's running? Probably takot ka nga hawakan thanks to its heat output. Now think how hot 1000W would be. Actually, I'm jealous nga na Class D kayo eh. I swear I can fry an egg on top of the heatsink of my DLS A6 if it is wired at 1ohm (1500W). Just give it adequate ventilation if you're worried about the heat... even a Php80 CDR-King 80mm PC fan works wonders in cooling car amplifiers.

I would suggest the most affordable one. This is because not everybody utilizes the features of more expensive models such as their bluetooth functions. However, everybody appreciates a 2DINN touchscreen. The ol' Pioneer AVH 1450 should set you back around 10 grand. If you want to know what's the "best selling model", it's probably the AVH-3XXX and its successors.

All Pioneer models have the same "sound quality". It's just that more expensive models have better and more extensive tuning features such as independent EQs and time alignment. For the everyday person, the AVH-1450 should fit their SQ needs. It even the most basic Pioneer 2DINN has Sonic Center Control which is very much like Pioneer's own crude time alignment. Take note that competition-level 2DINN head units from Alpine or Pioneer usually start at around 50-60 grand and is far from the reach of your everyday consumer.

for our Revo VX200, installed a Pioneer AVH-1450DVD HU and sound deadeners on the 4 doors. stock separates speakers in front, and stock woofers at the back.

OT: also added reverse camera. put the gear in reverse and video is automatically displayed on the Pioneer LCD.

    Mine pretty straight forward.

    Head Unit:
-Sony Xplod CDX-GT170S (got this for almost 5 years now.)

    Front & Rear:
-Sony Xplod 6 1/2" 3 Way Coaxial Speakers

No Amp and Sub. Not much but works fine with me. Clear highs and mid. The bass is not that powerful but not as weak. Still thinking of installing an amp but that can wait.

Alpine has a local distributor here naman. However, you can easily order one through most major car audio shops as they're resellers.

The processor and controller's a secondhand bargain grab since I knew the previous owner
