good day po ulit, ano po pwde gawin if yung stock HU walang RCA port? planning to install amplifier for seps and coaxial po eh. thanks.

Since mag upgrade ka ng sound setup mo, baka yang current HU mo ay pangit na talaga. Bili ka ng mas maganda. Yung may maayos na EQ and higher wattage.
Typically pag nag uupgrade ng audio setup HU/separates ang inuuna.

Sayang lang gastos for the converter, P450 din tapos destorted sound, before buying your amps or speakers, consider upgrading your HU first. Just my opinion
Kung basic upgrade lang you dont need to spend too much na. Pwede na yang stock HU mo. As what Zero3 said bili ka LOC(line output converter). Or bili ka amp that could accept high level inputs or amps that has internal LOC like the pioneer GM series class D amps.
Hindi sayang ang gastos sa LOC. actually that is the wise route kung basic upgrade lang hanap mo. No need to spend so much on buying a new HU. Ganyan ginawa ko dahil ang HU ko ay di basta basta palitan dahil maraming controls and features ng sasakyan ay integrated sa HU. Also magiging distorted lang ang sound ng speakers if you push your drivers to hard to a point of extreme na ang excursion. Kahit palitan mo HU ng mamahalin magiging distorted pa rin tunog nyan yan pag sobra sobra yung volume. Tune/level match your amp properly.
To me, last resort ang LOC. I'm no audiophile but I do appreciate good clarity and detail.
But it is your car. However, do note that not all LOCs are equal. There are quality LCOs (active) and there are crap ones. The cheaper ones can add 'color' to your music and you end up losing some details and/or gaining distortion and noise. But if you have to spend for a quality LOC, might as well change the HU instead. Though subjective, many decent aftermarket HUs aren't at all expensive.
The only reason you'd want to keep the OEM HU is when it is fully and deeply integrated with the car (ie. Part of the info-center screen). On the Innova, it is still modular and you only lose the steering controls, at worst.

I'm no audiophile and an expert either, I just love a good music and do my own installs. People sometimes tend to forget when giving advice about audio gears if kaya ba ng budget nung nag tatanong ang suggestions nila. Parang you are shooting them down na kahit basic upgrade lang hanap nila. As what the experts have said, sa car audio it will always be subjective kung ano maganda. For some even just changing the front seps using the stock HU is ok na but for others they cant appreciate anything less than gears with dsp on 3way active setup. Problem din is yung TS di nag indicate ng budget.
I don't think so. Who are we to judge the TS' capacity to spend or his perception of good sound quality? I think it's only fair to lay down everything on the table, within reason, and leave it up to the TS to decide which option to take.
I agree but asking a persons budget doesnt mean you are belittling the guys financial capacity lalo na if wala siya background about sa ICE. If you dump everything on his face when the guy just wants a basic upgrade he might think na wala na pagasa gumanda ang listening experience nya unless he spends more money. Any expert audiophiles kahit sa pdvd pag may newbie nag ask they will always reply with a question like, how big is the area? glass ba wall mo or may curtains ba? gaano ka taas ang ceiling? what type of music do you listen? how much budget are you willing to spend? They will not say immediately na you have to buy the b&w nautilus speakers dahil eto yung speaker na kahit saan mo ilagay na part ng bahay mo ay walang coloration ang sound nito.
Yes we have to lay it down but maybe the guy also needs some workaround on his budget. If the guy wants to get signal from his HU just tell him yes it can be done and it is possible, but if he wants more control then tell him upgrading his HU is another way. And upgrading one's HU doesnt mean he is free of noise, static etc. He has to spend again for good wires and rca. But this is just me and my 2 cents.
No, I wasn't referring to your asking the TS his budget as belittling. I said it to mean that we should not try limiting what he can spend.
It is generally accepted that the OEM HU (especially one that's heavily-EQ/DSP'd at the factory) is usually the first one to go in any ICE upgrade. Quality starts at the source. Upgrades should be additive... in that, any component you put in should add to the quality, not negate it.
But like I said, it is his car so he can do whatever he wants with it. I merely conveyed an opinion I have about LOC. To me, LOCs are right there with WiFi repeaters, and watching standard definition Star Wars on a 65-in display. Yes it will work, but... sayang...
What I'm pointing out is that its like ts is excited na to install his amp, seps and coax. Then when he asks someone for advice about his stock hu sasabihin agad na, bili ka na lang bago without even explaining why. So parang bagsak agad balikat ni ts and he said mag ipon na lang muna siya para maka bili ng bagong HU. Now we woudlnt know exactly if ts will be contented na sa orig plan nya na HU lang gamit nya but at least give the guy a bit of info why. We could tell ts na pwede mo gamitin yan and gagana yan because any aftermarket speakers with amps is always better than stock speakers naman. And if kulang pa sa kanya then start by replacing his HU at least at that point may baseline na sya. Yes LOC might be sayang but ts doesnt have to buy thos expensive ones. Again I'm no expert but we all started somewhere.
True that garbage in = garbage out. But there is another side of that phrase also. The garbage sounding systems for audiophile or purist might already be good enough for some folks.
I'm learning here... great discussion. In my case, I can't replace my head unit as it is fully integrated with the car's control.
If I may ask, what is ICE? I've read that LOC is line output converter.
I get this feeling that you’re suggesting that I’m implying to the TS to blow his money on a high end unit.
Nope... not even remotely. He retains the option but you don’t have to spend too much coming from a stock ICE. At this point, most any reputable aftermarket HU will outperform the OEM unit.
For example, entry-level HUs from Kenwood or Pioneer, to name a few, even in the sub-6k budget, will shame most OEM HUs, especially compared to the one that came with the Innova. And guess what... they already have RCA pre-outs. Some even have a dedicated subwoofer pre-out.
Sound quality may be subjective, but if you’ve heard the difference a good (not necessarily expensive) sound system can give, you’ll never go back.
I'm not implying anything and I apologize if I might have sounded that way. This is just a discussion to help the ts na you dont need to spend too much to enjoy music.
Initially the ts was just asking ano pwede gawin if walang RCA out yung HU for his gears. That's it. Hence the cheap LOC method. But then if we tell him na bumili na lang cya ng bagong HU without explaining anything to him why, then parang we are denying the guy his chance to know if ok na ba sa kanya ang oem HU or not.
I think at this point, a lot has been said and everything should already be perfectly clear. Unless the TS has any specific questions, I'll stop here. Going further on this path we're on won't add any more value.
Just to clear things, sometimes the reason why people asks for the budget is so those who will make suggestions can limit their suggestions within the budget. Otherwise without a budget restriction, baka puro expensive high end gears and i-suggest. Asking for the budget is actually para hindi nahirapan ang mag-suggest ng proper gears.
