November 18th, 2002 10:57 AM #4I agree, tuning your system will be dependent on yourself and your preference in sound. if your talking about proper setting of your amps and processors like High pass for your seps and LPF for your Subs then any good installer should be able to give you those info. Do not just let someone tune your system for you learn, how it is done so you can do it as well based on your preference.

November 18th, 2002 12:51 PM #5If you are interested in Sound Quality over loudness (SPL), there is an objective way to tune. Tune so that the car reproduces acoustical performances as realistically as possible in terms of tonal balance, depth, and ambience.
Not as easy as it sounds. But there are tuners that come close but at a price. This involves not only adjsutments in a system but the careful choice of equipent and mounting locations.
So in defining correct tuning, the question will be for who?
In determining what the final setup will be, ask yourself, who do you want to please? Sometimes, it's not always yourself.
